By now, I’m sure you’ve heard about the beefy “pink slime” (which The Huffington Post describes as “ammonia-treated sludge” … yum?) that’s put into beef products. I don’t know about you, but to me, everything about this screams, “GROSS!”

The icing on the gross-out cake? The U.S. Department of Agriculture has purchased 7 million pounds of “ammonia-treated meat” for school lunches—so this pink sludge could be lurking in your lunchroom. WTF?!

Want something tasty and icky-free for lunch? Ditch the slime, and get a veggie burger added to your school’s cafeteria! Be sure to hit us up at peta2@peta2.com for help!
