WASHINGTON, DC - DECEMBER 13: (AFP OUT) U.S. President Barack Obama smiles at the audience before signing the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 at Harriet Tubman Elementary School December 13, 2010 in Washington, DC. In an effort to provide children with better school lunches and breakfasts, the new law puts $4.5 million in the hands of child nutrition programs, sets nutrition standards on school vending machines, helps create school gardens and makes sure that quality drinking water is available during meal times. Known for his strong opposition to factory farming, and staunch stance against the Canadian seal slaughter, it should come as no surprise that yesterday President Obama denounced the crimes conducted by Michael Vick, who helped orchestrate an illegal dog fighting operation that resulted in dogs being hung, electrocuted, and shot for “entertainment” and profit.

According to The Huffington Post, Obama feels that “the actions committed by the [quarterback]—the orchestration of an illegal dog-fighting ring, the killing of animals and the deceiving of investigators looking into the matter—were condemnable.”

As always, the president is all about moving forward, and PETA is right there with him in the hope that Michael Vick will spend every second playing football and never look sideways at a dog or any other animal as long as he draws breath, because most of the dogs he knew over the years didn’t get a second chance, and the ones who did still shake and cower to this day.

Obama condemns what Michael Vick did then praises the Philadelphia Eagles for giving him a second chance. What a hypocrite.

I am 13 years old and joined the street team June 2015. I am a vegetarian. I have a passion for working to help save animals. I love my family and my 2 pugs, Daisy and Diesel. I plan to work for Peta or Mercy For Animals someday because they helped me become a vegetarian and begin a whole new life of having common sense towards all animals.
