I don’t know about you, but I don’t cook. Certainly I’ve tried to cook before, but it almost always ends in disaster. Who knew that when they say “grease the bottom of the pan,” they don’t mean for you to turn over the pan and grease the underside?!
As such, I’m keepin’ it simple for our potato-themed recipe of the week, with a dish so basic, and yet so delectable, that it’s damn near impossible to screw up.
I give you: Vegan chili fries!

What you’ll need:
• 1 bag of steak fries (big, thick French fries)
• 1 can of vegan chili
• Diced scallions, if you’re fancy
Just follow the directions on the bag of fries (usually just 15 – 20 minutes in the oven). Put the chili into a microwavable bowl, and zap it for 90 seconds (or until hot). When the fries are done, just toss ‘em onto a plate, pour the chili on top, and cap it off with some scallions (or vegan sour cream, if you like to live on the edge).
So there you have it. Unless you happen to get crushed by the stampede of meat-eaters rushing to steal your delicious chili fries, there’s zero risk of injury in this quick and easy snack. You’re welcome!

I have always lived in Los Angeles but my family and I went to Mexico for my parents wedding. So we came back to LA. I don't like LA but were here already what can I do unless I move out and find my own housing. I have always liked animals and it was til I was like about 14 when I learned about tests they do on animals and I began to explore animal cruelty because I was interested it in it. I have watched videos that just broke my heart so that's why today I'm doing all I can to not buy anything that has harmed an animal and I'm vegetarian .
I'm tall, I love sewing, fashion and the environment, also I'm vegetarian (wannabe vegan.) Obviously, I love animals! :)

1. This is awesome. Being a relatively new vegan and a man that doesn’t like cooking, we need mor eideas like this. There is a book one of my college buddies had 10 years back called “A man, a can, a plan” which was all recipies like this that mixed 2 or 3 ingredients at most. A book like that with a vegan spin would be great, and so would more recipies like that on these blogs.
2. For those saying they can’t find canned vegan chili, I’ve found that most chilis labeled “vegetarian” are actually vegan since the canned stuff usually doesn’t have dairy. Always check the label, but they are out there.
