Some Moms Need More Than Cards …

A day full of cards, flowers, cupcakes, and chocolate … a mom’s dream, right? Unfortunately, some moms have more basic dreams on Mother’s Day—like to have the chance to spend any time with their babies, to be free, and not to have their babies slaughtered.

Calves in the dairy industry are torn away from their mothers shortly after they’re born—leaving both mom and baby traumatized. Why? So farmers can steal the mom’s milk and sell it in a grocery store near you.

This Mother’s Day, share the cute photo below and tell your friends why they should think of all moms this holiday and ditch dairy products.

could someone give me some pointers for going vegan? i’m already a vegetarian but when i tried going vegan i developed a vitamin B12 deficiency and had to have injections to fix it and had to go back to being solely vegetarian… so what do you use to compensate?

I used to be vegan, and people always told me to eat lots of beans, fruits, veggies, and if none of that helps, there are vitamins you can take that will make up for the B12 or whatever it is you’re missing. Good luck! :)

I did a research paper on the health benefits of being vegan. All the experts say that Vitamin B12 is the only vitamin vegans CAN NOT get reliably from their foods, even fortified cereals and milks. B12 is made from bacteria in the soil and because we seriously wash our food, we don’t get exposed to it. Animals get it from the feed they have, which is why it’s in meat. You will need to take a supplement, I use VegLife Vegan One Multiple, but there are lots of vitamins out there! Fruits, veggies, beans, etc. are great for getting almost everything you need, but not for B12.

I have always lived in Los Angeles but my family and I went to Mexico for my parents wedding. So we came back to LA. I don't like LA but were here already what can I do unless I move out and find my own housing. I have always liked animals and it was til I was like about 14 when I learned about tests they do on animals and I began to explore animal cruelty because I was interested it in it. I have watched videos that just broke my heart so that's why today I'm doing all I can to not buy anything that has harmed an animal and I'm vegetarian .
