5 Ways to Help Animals Suffering in Experiments
Companies don’t need to torture animals in order to test mascara, shampoo, lotion, or other personal-care products. Scientists don’t have to torment monkeys in order to cure a disease. Teachers don’t need to buy dead baby pigs to teach students physiology. So why are millions of animals STILL suffering in laboratories? Luckily, there are easy ways to help animals suffering in experiments, and together we WILL stop animal testing. Here are five ways you can help (and if you haven’t already, join peta2’s Street Team to help even more!):
1. Always buy cruelty-free products.
If you aren’t sure whether or not your favorite brands drip chemicals into rabbits’ eyes, check out peta2’s cruelty-free database. There are so many non-animal research methods available, so there’s really no excuse for conducting sick and twisted experiments on animals. Oh, and you can also order peta2’s cruelty-free shopping guide, which is great to hand out to friends and family!
2. Educate others.
Don’t leave people in the dark about the horrors of the animal experimentation industry. Knowledge is power, so educate them by sharing our “Animal Testing in 60 Seconds Flat” video.
3. Help stop cosmetics testing in the United States!
Let decision makers know that you’re against testing on animals and that you support a ban on testing cosmetics on animals. We’ve written the letter for you, so you just need to click the “Take Action” button below and add your name . It’s really that easy.
4. Always speak up about classroom dissection.
If you’re asked to cut up animals in a class, just say NO! Humane, more cost-effective, and superior alternatives are available, and schools everywhere are catching on. If your teacher gives you a hard time about not wanting to participate in cruel classroom dissection, let us know. We’re pretty good at standing up for animals and the people who care about them!
5. Share this page.
Imagine the impact it would have if all your friends did everything on this page. By sharing this information online, you’ll have the potential to reach thousands of people and help stop animal testing once and for all! Let’s make that dream a reality.
