Student Exposes Cosmetics Cruelty
Check this out! American University film student Teighe Thorsen used her graphic design class to speak up for a cause close to her heart: the fight against torturing animals for cosmetics testing.
Millions of animals are still being needlessly used to test beauty products right now. They are blinded, burned, and poisoned—as well as denied everything that is natural and important to them—all because companies are too scared or lazy to update their protocols with more effective, humane, and cost-effective non-animal testing methods that already exist!
“We, individually, sometimes need to see abuse,” Teighe says, “and have an emotional reaction to it (through imagery or real events) to be motivated to make a change in our lives and our country, even if, unemotionally, we know it’s the right thing to do. I wanted to make something that had that emotional impact and I hope I succeeded.”
Mission accomplished, Teighe!
