Brrr … winter is here! When the weather outside is frightful, you may think that you have to wait for warmer weather in order to advocate for animals with all your cool peta2 T-shirts. Um, think again! Animals are eaten, used in experiments, killed for clothing, and abused in other ways every season, so it’s important that we are never silent about it!

I will be having vegan Christmas meals, vegan snacks. I’ll be buying cruelty-free products as presents for others. I’ll be educating others about the cruelty that the Christmas holidays bring to non-human animals. Also how cruelty is brought to non-human animals all year round (not that I don’t do this already). This holiday season as every other I help out at a local soup kitchen with one of my best friends. We do this closer to the actual holiday and we really enjoy it. This year round I am putting vegan friendly recipes into the mix. This way, others may get a chance to experience healthier and tastier foods for the holidays. If I could change the whole menu I would but small steps can usually turn into big ones
. A bunch of people from different upbringings come to this soup kitchen so my word is sure to get out there. I have even been dropping by to leave stickers and animal friendly pamphlets of my own to help people be aware that adoption is the way to go for animals, especially with the harsh weather thats approaching. hope everyone has a happy holiday!! The holiday season is always a great time to help animals, if not now then when? At this point I unfortunately cannot adopt any animals from shelters because we already have 2 and a little boy but I will be making donations to the local shelters and have inquired about volunteer work at the Humane Society in SLC.

This winter I will be spending a lot of time at my local humane society. The amount of volunteers working at the shelter diminishes as the weather gets cold and people don’t want to spend the time needed to walk the dogs outside. Which is completely unfair! So I try to go there as much as possible
And I am donating some dog treats that were on their Christmas wish list.
And of course not wearing fur, leather, or using down. Because animals get cold too!
