T-Shirt Tuesday: 'Cut Class, Not Frogs!'
You love your cat, right? How about your dog or rabbit? Or perhaps you even have a rat. Well, sadly all these animals are used for classroom dissection.
The worst part is that totally humane non-animal methods are available, yet every year, millions of animals end up in sealed bags with formaldehyde. I shudder to think that with a simple twist of fate, my animal pals could’ve ended up on a metal tray!
The good news is that we have a voice. YOU have a voice.
One way that you can use it is by rockin’ peta2’s “Cut Class, Not Frogs!” T-shirt, which we’re giving away this week:
Many states have dissection-choice policies, but if yours doesn’t—and neither does your school—we can help you get one implemented in your class. Take a stand for animals, and help us cut out dissection because cruel science is bad science!
Want to get your hands on this super-soft, super-cute tee? Leave a comment below* telling us what your favorite thing about your animal companion is, and then keep your fingers crossed. Oh, and be sure to tell us what size shirt you wear as well!
*The winner will be chosen at random from submitted animal-friendly comments in which the commenters tell us what their favorite thing about their animal companion is. Entries must be received by August 14, 2012. The winner will be chosen at random and notified on August 16, 2012.
