Every year during Canada’s war on seals, hundreds of thousands of baby seals are killed for their skin in the most horrific ways imaginable. Who could possibly club a baby seal?! I have always had a fascination with seals since I was little. I find them adorable, fin to whiskers. Sadly, we humans are the biggest threat to seals. Seals have long been commercially hunted for their pelts, meat, and blubber. We need to stop this inhumane abuse to all seals!

What I love most about seals is their caring for family. They huddle on the beach in large bunches not because there’s no room, but to protect each other and keep warm… And its sad that that hunters take advantage of this opportunity to slaughter every single one of them, including the newborns, right on the spot.

I love seals! once when I was little my mom took me down to the pier because she heard the seals were in the harbour .. It wasnt till after we got there that we figured out what it meant. I couldnt believe it! It was one of the most horrible things i had ever seen .. Seals are so cute and funny. They are loyal and smart and make real friendships like humans do. It’s great, how efficient and resilient they are. They deserve to live!

I love seals because they are perfect. Like all other keystone species, seals play an important role in Arctic ecosystems. Without seals, we would soon start seeing overpopulating fish, starving orcas, and shortages of Arctic-fish food (algae). The world doesn’t need furs to survive; we need seals to keep our ecosystems balanced.

Seals are so interesting to read about! To think that they give birth on land, just like bears (but not so aggresive, and that’s why people take advantage of these animals) And they’re able to live most of their lives on water is amazing!
I want people to think about what’s happening about seal cruelty, because most people think it’s over, but what really happens is that TV isn’t allowed to show this kind of horrible cruelty.

the fact is that killing a help less baby animal( or any animal for that fact) is wrong in so many way and is and shound NEVER be fun….

There is nothing about a seal that is not completely adorable!! To start with look at that truly innocent face, with the big black saucers eyes looking curiously up at the world. And those long sweeping whiskars that frame their face with the patch of freckles that the whiskars come out of, simply adorable! There are two major organic Amish stores in my community that actually sell fur from seals and seal fur products. 3 of my animal activist groups gathered together and talked to the owners while also non-violently protested against one of these stores for about 5 months. Recently the owner contacted me and told me that the store will no longer be selling any fur products in the store, will send the remaining fur products back, and in terms will sell some of my groups homemade t-shirts, wrist bands, CD’s, and other products in their store instead! We were so thrilled that this summer, we’re planning on talking to the other store in my community and hopefully will be able to convince them to do the same. I’d sure love this tee to help me with my battle

I love that their big love bugs. Over Christmas break I got the opportunity to hug and kiss one at a reserve where they keep the former aquatic stars from movies and other injured sea animals they come upon. It was great

When I first made contact with seals, all that went through my mind was how adorable these beautiful creatures are. Physically, but most of all the way they behave, their happy spirit. The way they just float on the surface of the water literally smiling to all the surrounding boats. They are such kind and playful animals who are actually the best swimmers in the world. Even though, seals struggle with climate change and the encroachment of humans, they are always joyful. I admire them so much for their positive perspective.

i just watched a documentary on seals!! i think it was Jeff Corwin, even though the elephant ones are funny looking. you have to love them regardless. sad thing about the documentary was even though they say they “saved” the baby seals because their mom was killed. i didn’t believe it and it hurt my little heart. they put tubes down their throat to feed them(because they wouldn’t eat) and they were training the animals in little pools which means more than likely they’ll end up in a zoo or a seaWorld show which saddens me.
regardless i love seals they’re adorable!

Their huge adorable dark eyes :’D The funny little sounds they make. I love everything about them… And they are opportunistic feeders, they don’t JUST eat cod, like the government of Canada thinks
They eat a well balanced diet, and keep the ecosystem normal!

I love their shape and their eyes are amazing. They are silly and playful, super awesome. I grew up near a harbor and would often watch them, they are my favorite marine mammal definitely. This is my favorite peta shirt by far!

I love how cute they are! Their big eyes just scream “I want to love you” and yet cruel people slaughter so many of them for now reason. Seals are adorable and beautiful creatures!

What’s not to love about seals! Not only are they super adorable, but they also tend to frolic around and entertain a crowd. It is amazing that they enjoy spending time on land as they can usually dive between 1000 and 1300 feet! Too cool!

I love seals because they are a very unique animal,I live by the ocean and love to watch them play and bob there little heads in the water. They have amazing bodys, and how ever they stay warm I wanna know lol.
