I’ve been vegetarian for about five years, and I’m never going back. I plan on making the transition to becoming a vegan within the next year, thus allowing me to start university cruelty-free. I was initially inspired by a video I saw on youtube, which sparked my interest in the subject. I’ve since read books, watched documentaries, and have made many visits to peta booths and tables to soak up any info I can get. I’m an avid animal rights activist and am always open to debate my beliefs. I can’t imagine living any other way, as there are countless benefits associated with being meat-free. I owe many thanks to peta, as without your influence and inspiration, I may not have been as successful as I am with my vegetarianism. I’m proud of my cruelty-free lifestyle and hope I can continue to influence those around me, and save all the animals I can.

Ive been a vegitarian for a year and 10 months and it feels really good. I am working on staying vegan and i have been keeping it up for about 8 months. I feel more energetic and healthy than i did when I was eating meat.im doing better in sports now πŸ˜€ It feels good and I have been trying to put the word out there to my friends and family that they arent only eating foods that will make them sick and the animals that are getting killed are suffering and are in alot of pain. Im happy to say all my sisters and my mom and dad are vegitarian and most of my friends are becoming vegitarians as well. Im happy that i made this life choice and Im never going back. πŸ™‚

I just decided to drop by here today because I get emails regularly from the website after I signed up at Bamboozle last year. I have to say that after the past half hour I’ve spent on here I’m going to try my absolute hardest to stay away from meat. I actually feel pretty disgusted with myself for not thinking about what these poor animals went through just so I could get fed, when there are tons of other options out there.(Size medium)

Hi! Tomorrow it will be 4 years and 5 months since me and my Fiance decided to become Vegetarians together. We both love animals and after living with so many animal companions who have given so much love to us, we just couldn’t continue eating other living, defenseless animals who are just as beautiful, smart and loving as the ones we share our homes with. I would love to give this shirt to my fiance as a gift for being so caring and loving towards animals and sharing my passion for helping all creatures great and small. Thanks! πŸ™‚

I started watching Whale Wars on Animal Planet a few months ago, and I’ve always had a special love for animals, but still continued to eat them. As I started to get more involved with Whale Wars, by continuing to watch, and donate to the Sea Shepherds Organization. A few things got to me that were said on the show about the crew having an all vegan diet, and how you can’t be an activist and still continue to consume meat. After more and more research on PETA, other various sites, and books. I discovered the cruelty behind slaughter houses, and other animal by products, I made the life choice to go Vegan. My family farm has goats, sheep, horses, and chickens, and I could never imagine eating any one of them. I have now been completely animal free, for 5 months now, and I’ve never felt better, life is fresh and easier it seems.(: (Large)

Hello, my name is Arisa Yoon and I am fifteen years old…I became vegetarian when i was quite young( about 9 years old). I was on my way to the airport to go up in the air, since my mother was a pilot, and i looked out the window to see a turkey covered in mud that looked like it was struggling very much…It broke my heart to see that poor animal suffering and knowing that I couldn’t do anything to save it…After some research, I found out that turkeys enjoy mud baths, and it was simply taking an afternoon bath…Still, the thought that an animal has to go through such torture broke my heart. Since that day, I have been vegetarian, and I am working on becoming vegan. With the help of your site, i am becoming more knowledged on how to eat vegan. I feel great about my decision, and although my friends don’t agree, it’s my life and this is how i want to live it. As an american society, my friends are very glued to their Mcdonalds and fattening foods, and i’ve tried to convince them to, as well, become vegetarian, but they are very stubborn…I have expressed to them that it makes you feel so much more wonderful, and to know that you’re saving a cute and innocent animal, makes it all the more better:) So i will keep fighting and recruiting, but that is my story:) And I am a small in teeshirt size, although i never win anything so…hahah

I have been Vegetarian for about 2 weeks now. I love every second about it. I have 10 little boy cousins. (all 7 years or younger) And I was never able to run around and keep up with them. But after going vegetarian I was about to run around and pick up all my little cousins and make a really memorable fourth of July. I know I will never forget it. I loved it and I’m so excited to be vegetarian. It is also very hard to do so since i am living in a home of COMPLETE zombies. But oh well. No matter how hard it is I will NEVER go back to meat. NOR will I ever step foot on the McCrulity lot to order some kind of poor cooked animals. All I will do is PROTEST PROTEST & PROTEST!!! My Shirt size is X-Small. But small would do just fine. I thought I would miss cheese more because I loved it and ate a lot of it as a vegetarian but I didn’t and have learned how to make lots of great vegan pizzas.

I really enjoy being a vegan, and even though my family aren’t vegans-they support me. We don’t buy regular milk,it’s ALWAYS soy,and my dad never buys meat while I’m with them,or visiting. He won’t even keep it in the house-in fact I’ve even gotten him into some vegan riblets, and a lot of *MorningStar products,so I’m happy with how being vegan for almost 7 years!

I love this shirt! I just bought the Flesh is for Zombies tee shirt yesterday at warped tour and I would love to have this one too! I wear size small!

I became vegetarian after a concert i went to in November, and PETA was there, and i signed a promise to never wear real fur, and they gave me the Free For All video. After watching the video i knew that what i wanted to do for the rest of my life was to be vegetarian, and eventually become vegan πŸ™‚ i’ve been vegtarian for 8 months now, and my family is super supportive, and we’ve created awesome new recipies like a veggie burger, which just contains vegetables! A friend of mine Eric has actually now become vegetarian after me talking to him about how amazing, and life changing it has been. I love the stickers, and street team! I would wear this tee-shirt everywhere. I’m not acfraid to express what i believe in πŸ™‚

I have been vegetarian for 8 years and vegan for 3 years! YEAH, once you do it for so long, you get super used to it, almost like you have an allergy, and you simply CANNOT eat dairy, eggs, etc, so you don’t even think about eating it.

I have been vegetarian for 17 months now and I will never go back! I really do want to go vegan. The thing holding me back is just going out with a group or to a cook out and feeling like a burden. This happens to me already and my food choices would only be smaller if I was vegan. I am slowly cutting out different things from my diet though and adding more tofu! haha. Medium (standard)

For the past year I have continued to try to be a vegan. However, living with a family that loves meat, its very difficult to stay faithful. It is not because I miss the taste of meat, it is because my family refuses to buy me healthier options. At which I begin to starve in the house and resort to eating meat once again. I don’t want to give up again. So wish me luck, because honestly FUCK MEAT.

Hello! I became a veg when I was nine (I am 38 now!)after raising twin calfs on my family’s farm whose mother died during birth. They changed my life forever! I had been learning that the beef and pork on my plate came from my farm and were my friends that I loved and played with! How could someone murder and eat some being that could play, love, show emotion. I am forever grateful for my two babies and also stricken with guilt of what became of them that I have spent my life teaching others about the cruelty of meat/murder. I taught the subject in my classes at Baylor University, Waco, Texas. I will do this until I am dead! (i almost forgot – size large) Thank you PETA!!

I have been a vegetarian since 2000.I can eat at 1 restaurant in town. Usually , I eat in the restaurant plus I will take a plate to go so I will have a meal at home for another day.Being a Veg.,is not fun for me. I live in a retirement community and all the meals are cooked by the kitchen staff.I’m the only Veg. that lives here, so my particular wants are not considered when making the menu.Even tho they do serve vegetables, they are not cooked with any type of seasoning and usually just poured from a can. πŸ™

I am slowly, but surely moving towards a meat free diet at the ripe age of…okay…over 60 anyway. It has been difficult for me to become vegan because of allergies to soy. But realizing what a nightmare the meat and poultry industries have created regarding the horrendous treatment of animals and environmental degradation ranchers have reeked out West…not to mentionthe mere fact that meat is not the nutritional panacea we have been led to believe has renewed my commitment to the welfare of animals and my spiritual well-being.

I would love to become a vegetarian, but I just don’t know how to start! That’s why I’m kind of embarrassed to be posting… First of all, meat is a food that is served daily in my home, at school, and at friend’s houses and parties. I’m surrounded! Every time I take a bite of meat, I envision a little pig on a farm, a calf being born, or that one time that I held a baby chick at the farm… I feel bad, but I just don’t have the strength… Is it true that but suddenly becoming a vegetarian can make you become sick? I’m a small, but someone else deserves this! =P

I’ve been a vegetarian for a year and 1 month now πŸ™‚ Its been amazing! I’m working on going vegan as well.. its hard because I love cheese and chocolate which has dairy, can you tell me about some vegan cheese and chocolate alternatives?? Ones I can actually find at a common store near me like walmart smiths or winco…. instead of ordering them from some site.. I jus haven’t noticed that stuff at normal stores much, sucks. Anywho.. Iv pretty much managed to give up eggs… have it in a batter for cake sometimes but haven’t had it in plain form in almost a year.. scrambled, omlet, french toast, sunny side up or anything. And I gave up Drinking cows milk as well except in a batter, ice cream or chocolate sometimes. But haven’t drank it plain, i use almond or soy now on my cereal. πŸ™‚ So if you have sub products i would love to know about them and where I can get them πŸ™‚ thanx! I went vegetarian when I was 12 after my friend (who was vegetarian at the time) questioned me one time I was eating a sausage (yuck!). I’m 17 now and turned vegan in December 2009 when I realized I was being hypocritical; I was claiming to love animals but yet contributed to their exploitation by consuming dairy and other animal products.

My first day without meat was just about 2 years ago. I think that it was September 30th 2009. I am rather young, so this is a good achievement for me! I have been trying to convince my parents to become vegan since I went vegetarian. They just won’t let me, they want me to still get all of the nutrients and protein the I need to develop properly. Do you guys know how I can convince them to at least let my try for a while?

I have been meat free since watching the Paul McCartney documentary “glass walls”. I have been pork and red meat free for years, but still ate poultry. I have always wanted to be a vegetarian/vegan. When I was 5, I asked my mom if I could be a vegetarian. I always seemed to have an excuse as to why I couldn’t go all the way. After seeing that video in February, I decided enough was enough, and went meat free on that day and never felt better about any decision. Sometimes it is tough, but mostly it is so easy, because I know I am saving animals and not supporting a business that demonstrates immense animal cruelty. I am more energetic, and less guilt ridden.

I have a long way to go to be vegan, I am taking steps towards it though. I do not eat eggs, milk is a tough one. I haven’t found a milk substitute that I can stomach yet. It would be great if Peta could tell me their all time fav faux milk. I have heard of many of them, but I want to know your all time hands down fav. Thanks PETA2!

I honestly just started on June 26th, 2011. Which is when Warped tour came here, in San Antonio. I signed a petition for this and when they showed me the little paper and book with the pictures I was disgusted then went home and watched videos, I knew right then I was done. I even got my boyfriend to go vegetarian with me. now, when I go places out to eat and shit and look at the food I cross out everything I can’t eat and it’s just a lot better, I can’t even look at meat without seeing a cute little animals face ): I don’t support wearing fur either, or anything. I’m going to try and go Vegan soon (: just need lean into it, so thank you for saving me. &I hope I get a small t-shirt (:!

A year ago I was handed a PETA 2 dvd at warped tour. I knew the footage would be gruesome so I put off watching it for as long as I could. 9 months ago I was brave enough to pop it into my dvd player and press play. I was shocked and disgusted by what I was seeing and couldn’t believe I had been encouraging that type of behavior for my entire life. I knew I had to make a change. From that day forward I became meat-free. I love spreading the word about how anyone can change and make a difference.

After seeing an article in Kerrang! with a half- nude picture of Chester Bennington of Linkin Park supporting Peta I check it out and saw all this sick cruelty and became a vegetarian.
It was a little easy for me, fortunately, because I actually do hate the taste of meat. It tastes like putting a copper coin in your mouth- Not nice.
So about 6 months going strong.
And my parents, for some reason aren’t putting it down as a ‘phase’.
    Thank God. Fuck meat.

Since January WE have stopped eating flesh, we drink soy and almond, but the cheese is hard πŸ™ I cry now when I see McDonalds, Arby’s, Subway & any fast food meat products on TV. Makes me sick and I juxtapose them as Murderers & Serial Killers. I used to pick off the pepperonis on pizza, again, it makes me sick now. Im stephanie, I have been apart of peta for about 3 years now. Ive protested many times, sent many letters.
Ive always loved animals and made me sick to my stomach to see the proof of violence. I had never realozed that the slaughter houses could do something so cruel. I thank peta for helping me see everything the way it really was happening. I even inspired a few family memebers and freinds to eat less meat.
I have been Vegan for about 1 year and half. I never really enjoyed meat thought really. So it has been easy for me.

I became a vegetarian when i was 13. it was kinda a thing. everyone in my grade was doing it. haha. then i started researching on it and i saw how horrible it was and how i was the one causing the production by buying what they had. so i started out listing the things i ate. I didnt like any meat except chicken, so it was easy. Then i started working on being a vegan. and many people told me vegans are unheathly. i decided well, i’ll quit slowly one dairy product at a time and then my body will get used to it and i’ll be fine. so first the eggs and cupcakes and cookies and cakes went, because i dont really like eggs. then the cheese, and then milk was hard, but i liked almond milk so i just substutied and done, vegan time. the hardest part was convincing my dad, but he got over it. ;] proud vegan for one year now. anyhoo i hope i win, i’m a small. thanks for reading! byee <3animals

Well, I’m trying my very hardest to be a vegan. It’s proven to be quite a challenge because my dad opposes it, after all our whole freezer is filled with meat and bread. On the occasions that I have to eat meat, I stay away from eating beef and pork. I’m lactose intolerant anyways, so it’s not that big of a deal for me to switch ot soy milk of lactose-free things. When I can afford to buy my own food, (or when I move out, whichever comes first), I plan to be a full-out vegan. I still can’t get the image of “puss-filled milk” out of my head, eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew.

I attended and animal rights conference 8 years ago in D.C.. All the food was vegan and the information I got from the speakers, films and literature affected me so much I could not bring myself to ever eat animal products again. I never had a problem and never wanted to go back to it. I also work as the volunteer Education Coordinator for http://www.harpseals.org Seeing the horrible treatment of animals for food, fur or simply for pleasure has given me the way to stick to my guns and help others make good choices. People have made comments about my food choices but I know in my heart I am doing the right thing! (I like t-shirts XL) Thanks, Kay

i became a vegitarian after watching a keeping up with the kardashian marathon. it was the episode when khloe did the fur? i’d rather do naked campaign. after that my english teacher told us we needed to write an essay on a controversal topic. i chose why people shouldn’t wear fur. so i remembered the peta name from the episode and i went on the website. i did some research and saw all the videos about fur, meat, skin, wool, leather, experimentation. and i was stunned. lets just say that after that i couldn’t even touch meat. so after my essay i showed my leadership class and my family the videos. i got 37 people to become vegitarians. i have been a vegitarian since april 11. it was a little hard at first but im passionate about animals and it keeps me motivated to stay vegitarian. now im living a green life. and loving it. after a month being a vegitarian became easy. so now im trying out being a vegan. this ones a little more challenging but since june 2 i have been a vegan and its working out for me. its a little hard but its worth it. I have been a vegetarian for 6 years and am now making the transition to a vegan lifestyle. It’s going really well for me. I cannot believe how much cleaner I feel, physically and spiritually. Not munching flesh was the best decision I have ever made <3

I’ve been vegetarian for 4 years now & I hope to one day become a vegan. It is a difficult process & on a college student’s salary, it isn’t exactly cheap. But hopefully one day in the near future, I will become a vegan. I even inspired my boyfriend to go vegetarian & he loves it. I don’t drink milk anymore…haven’t for awhile, so I am slowly making changes.

I have been meat free for 6 years, and am now a very strict vegan. My neighbor is also vegan, but she is like 40 & I am 18 so I learn a lot from her, especially since she does a lot for PETA. My dad told me now after being around me certain things often make him feel guilty, but I am still the only vegan in my family. No one in my family restricts their animal use at all except being uncomfortable with fur&leather. I give a lot of people my stickers, flyers, & booklets I have mailed to me & a lot of people do enjoy looking at them. Sz-small.

I have been a Vegetarian for 16 years. Although I’m not a vegan yet, I always am conscientious towards what I purchase, ie I don’t buy leather etc. PETA is an organistation very close to my heart due to your work which helps our animal friends. Animals and humans to me are the same, we are both living beings and mutually benefit from showing each other respect and compassion. Unfortunately, most humans are not so compassionate. I would proudly wear your Fuck Meat t-shirt in the hope that it would convert 1 person or save one animal life.

This change for me was extremely hard because of my hispanic family who gets offended when I dont eat meat because in our country its an insult but they dont understand on how we are in America. i’m so new to being a vegetarian! on march 11th of this year i made the choice that i am no longer going to have meat as a part of my diet. ever since that day i’ve had an overcoming of peace in myself and my surroundings. the choice of removing meat from my body and self has overall changed my perspective on life. i want to help people sense this peace, and see that it is one of the only ways to be overall peaceful. i’m not only posting this to win a tee-shirt, cause that’s not overall what this whole thing is about. this is about helping save animals. and i hope everyone who reads this is touched, and remembers when they first became a vegetarian/vegan. and know that we are not only doing this for the environment, but also for those cute little fuzzy animals.

I have been on my mission to become this strict vegan that I am now for 6-7 years. I have had many things sent to me from PETA to help explain how important it is such as stickers, posters, & booklets&flyers. I am the only vegan in my family & none of them restrict their animal use at all. I live in a very redneck town where people don’t seem to respond favorably to the polite way of telling them so maybe this shirt would spark some talk. (xs-s)

I have been meat free for 11 years! Since I was 7 years old I recognized that I could not support something so cruel (of course at that time I had no idea of the full extent of this cruelty). Within the last year or so I have really been working on becoming vegan. I have since stopped consuming milk and eggs, and rarely eat cheese. The only thing standing in my way of full veganism is my financial situation and hopefully things will be easier in the future once I move out from home and am off to college.

I am currently turning 18 years old in August. Ever since around the age of 12, I have been interested in Peta and compassionate about animals. Over the next 4 years I was “on-and-off” vegetarian, partly because my mom didn’t like the whole idea of it. When I turned 15 I became full and strict vegetarian. I am now 17 and moving out at the end of August for university. I will be making the transfer to full-on vegan (my mom wouldn’t let me until I was on my own). Wish me luck!

It’s so hard to give up all the other products that use egg and dairy though. I’m hoping within the year I can finally become vegan. I’ve also been switching to all vegan shampoos and make-up. I’m pretty much back to vegetarian now, but I want to go vegan for good eventually. My biggest challenge is going out to eat, especially with friends because I don’t want to dictate where we eat. Luckily, my city is very veg friendly and has vegan options, but it’s still the hardest part for me. I love trying new recipes and throwing vegan dinner parties for my omni-friends (they actually love my food! :). I would love an opportunity to wear a shirt that’s as vulgar as I am. Size-Medium

I abruptly stopped eating meat 15 years ago for reasons of health & Upton Sinclair. Later my awareness of animal atrocities only strengthened my resolve. Eating meat is gross!

I have been meat free for 4 years now. I have gotten my friends to attend Meat Free Mondays, and some even went full Vegetarian.
I know it has changed me (no acne, lower weight, more energy) because my twin sister is about 20lbs heavier than me and uses so many acne treatments its sickening. I keep telling her to switch, but she is so persistent. She does special diets and stuff to get her weight down, but going vegetarian for her wouldn’t be hard. Both of my parents are Vegetarian and have been for 30-40 years. I’m trying to go that long.
My problem with meat is it may smell good, but it doesn’t taste good and it certainly isn’t what I want in my body. I’ve even written some “My story” papers for my college writing newspaper.
Over-all, I feel good being meat free.

The question feels so perfect to me! lol. I often refrain from joining these type of giveaways that ask people to comment.lol.Cuz most of the time I dunno what to say xD
hmn.. but now yeah!.. I’ve been meat-free since I enter the Uni now I’m already a graduate. It’s been FOUR YEARS now. Everybody is shocked everytime people ask me. I know it’s not too long but FYI I’m in a place where people will hardly believe you that you don’t eat meat. Culture here is way far from a meat-free lifestyle. So most of the time I end up having problems with new recipes. I always feel like trying something new as a NON-MEAT eater. xD Most spices/alternatives/ingredients aren’t easily found here in the Philippines. Stuffs that are common to other country. If I happen to find them they are usually not much affordable. At home I have to cook my own food. I feel guilty because it’s taking me long to turn VEGAN. :'(
if ever i got randomly picked, my size is small πŸ˜€
thanks! and sorry if I talked a lot. xD

I’ve started flirting with vegetarianism when I was 15, and became a strict veggie 3 years ago. I live in a small town of 50,000 and didn’t know how to go about making the transformation the RIGHT way, so I went to the PETA website and found a bunch of recipes to try and ordered a copy of “Meat your meat”. I took it to school and showed it to the entire class, and I now have 4 more veggie buddies since doing that! FUCK MEAT! Vegan-ism is just around the corner for me! (Size Med)

ive been meat free for 2 years now and im loving it. i first became vegetarian when i read the book Skinny Bitch. It definately changed my lifestyle for the better. im still working on becoming vegan i just havnt found the right products to make the switch easier (such as cheese…im addicted to it and cant find a good tasting dairy free cheese). That and its hard to go to parties or outings when most of the people in my life still eat these things (there seems to be nothing i can say or do to get them to give it up).

I am 15. I have been a vegetarian since February 25, 2010. Its been a little over a year and I love it. I feel so much better about my lifestyle now, even if my family still really doesn’t agree. (I’m still working on them!) I would love to become vegan. I have been eating more and more vegan foods lately and I love making the recipes. Becoming a vegetarian has been on of the most fulfilling things I have ever done in my life!

I think this shirt will help me be able to remind me(and everyone else) why i am doing this and i why i need to stay meat free.

My love for all animals is much too strong to even think about contributing to or encouraging the slaughtering of thee. Since I started to realize what meat actually was in my preteen years, I never wanted to eat it. I didn’t believe in killing and consuming another living thing for my satisfaction. It never made sense, even back then. My parents used to make me eat meat because they thought it was healthier. After a combination of finding a bullet in some meat loaf and reading up on the health benefits of vegetarianism, I put my foot down and told them that they couldn’t make me eat meat anymore. I was twelve then and I’ve proudly been meat-free ever since! I’m 27 now and love being and cooking vegetarian. I love cooking awesome recipes for my carnivorous and skeptical friends and family. I try to eat vegan as much as possible and have recently been trying to transition over. I feel lucky to see things the way I do and I’ll be a veg for life.

I’m so Vegan, even my high horse only eats Tempeh!

I wear a size small shirt, next Monday will be my 9 year anniversary of not eating meat, and I have been vegan for the past few years. I also used to have hypertension for years, and am avoiding my family history of dieing from heart problems, since I’m now 6′ 165lbs. and have a 120/75 blood pressure.

In the past decade I’ve gone from only eating pizza and hamburgers and french fries, to only eating veggie burgers and cheese pizza, to now where I pretty much live at the farmer’s market, and will devour anything that isn’t an uncooked onion or from an animal. You are a big reason of why I have chosen to live the way I do.

Now I have to take off, it’s time to grill out some peppers, potatoes, asparagus, carrots, with a boca burger, some whole wheat bread, avocado slices, with a side salad loaded with strawberries and blueberries.

Ever sense I was very very little, I always tried to be a vegetarian, but as a little kid I found it very hard. I just flat out quit eating meat when I was 10 years old. I’m 14 now, and trying to become a vegan. I drink soy milk, and don’t eat eggs. My mom helped me with my choices sense she is also a vegetarian going on 24 years this year. We always share our “Animal Rights” teeshirts with each other. I love being a vegetarian and I’d never even dream of going back. I love animals! :)Shirt Size- Medium
