Nine years ago, Fred Mascherino of Taking Back Sunday made a deal with himself to try vegetarianism for one month. At the end of the month, Fred knew he would never go back to feasting on flesh. Two years later Fred went completely vegan once he realized that the dairy product and egg industries were guilty of the same cruelties as the meat industry. Fred says that even if being vegan wasn’t better for the environment and human health, he’d still care too much about animals to eat them. Click here to see what Fred’s got to say to the meat eaters and the vegans alike.
Are you tired of eating all that greasy cafeteria food? Do you wish that you and the other students at your school had some yummy vegan options available every day at lunch? Then hurry on over to our “Say ‘No’ to Mystery Meat” mission and veganize your cafeteria.
Speaking of Street Team missions, you all have been doing a great job sending out links to the new “Question Authority” animated e-card. We’ve been completely overwhelmed by the number of people who have taken part in this mission. We’ve received nearly 3,000 responses, many of which included at least 20 e-mails. A few Street Teamers who always go above and beyond the call of duty have sent the e-card to hundreds of their friends. If you haven’t gotten a chance to do so yet, take a look at the “Question Authority” and pass it on to everyone you know!
