Football fans who watch all season long, not just during the Super Bowl, know who Terrell Suggs is. Suggs, of the Baltimore Ravens, had 70 tackles and 14 sacks and forced seven interceptions in the 2011-12 season, which is why he has been named the Defensive Player of the Year! If you’re not a football fan and are wondering why his name sounds familiar, well, Suggs took some time out of his busy schedule to talk to folks about how messed up it is that animals are being skinned alive for their fur! Check out his “Ink, Not Mink” ad:

My favorite quote from his interview is this: “I hit people for a living, and even I couldn’t … handle the cruelty to these animals.” If you haven’t seen the video, he’s talking about the killing methods used by fur farms: suffocation, gassing, anal and vaginal electrocution, poisoning, and neck-breaking. Some animals are even skinned alive. If you haven’t already done so, please take a moment to pledge to be fur-free.
