Could you imagine living your life in a space so small that you could never spread your arms, lie down to sleep comfortably, or even turn around without knocking into someone? Every day is a living nightmare for birds in the egg industry—who endure this and worse.
Forced to live their entire lives packed into battery cages full of the living and the dead, most egg-laying hens never feel the sunlight until they’re thrown onto the back of transport trucks headed for slaughter.
To give people visiting PETA’s Los Angeles and Norfolk offices a new perspective on this issue, we’ve designed our elevators to look and feel like battery cages, giving people a unique view of who is on their plate. Check it out:

Hello! My name is Nina, and I am a musician-in-training, and I play 7 instruments. I am a liberal, an LGBT activist, avid reader, composer, singer, and poi spinner. I am vegan, and a strong supporter of animal rights.
I was born in Canada and love peta2. I table every month and meet new people:older and younger. I love music and play the recorder. I'm a 6 year spelling bee champion. Again I love peta2!
I'm tall, I love sewing, fashion and the environment, also I'm vegetarian (wannabe vegan.) Obviously, I love animals! :)

That’s a pretty cool way to get the message out, depressing, but cool and life changing! Peta2 should start doing that in other elevators. Maybe then people will start taking the stairs and get their exercise.
