Vegan Fraps at Starbucks? Yes!
Yep, you heard right. Today, May 5th marks the official launch of Starbucks customizable fraps, AKA: OMG VEGAN FRAPPUCINOS! This is just the latest in vegan-friendly additions Starbucks has been adding to its menu—including vegan cookies, snacks and now a vegan version of their popular summer drink.
It’s no secret that I am obsessed with icy cold drinks from the bucks (especially with my intolerance to hot weather!) and these soy fraps go perfectly together with Lucy’s vegan sugar cookies. Being a former barista myself, I spent lots of time testing out concoctions behind the bar—but could never perfect a soy frap. My dreams have literally come true!
My fav frap? Dark Cherry Mocha, of course. What’s your favorite?
P.S. Not sure what’s vegan at Starbucks? Clear or thin syrups are (peppermint, cherry, raspberry, vanilla, etc), as well as the mocha syrup. Watch out for any thick syrup (including the caramel drizzle) which contains milk. Baristas are usually pretty in the know, so if you’re not sure—ask!
