Warped Tour 2005 is Here
… and our good friends, Dave Berthgold of Blockhead Skateboards/Smash Technologies and pro-skateboarder Laban Pheidias, have teamed up once again to help us film a documentary of this year’s tour.
The first few days are always hectic, but so far we’ve been able to catch up with Silvertein, Emery, MXPX, MCR, Bleed the Dream, Hawthorne Heights, Tsunami Bomb, Strike Anywhere, Tim (from Rancid and Transplants,) along with a few others. Everyone’s excited to be back on the tour and ready for a crazy summer.
Friday June 24
We’re in the Texas stretch of the Warped Tour. It’s hot. Felt the need to cool off and immerse ourselves in Texas culture by hitting Billy Bob’s in Dallas.
Saturday June 25
The Eyeliners put on a good set – played a lot of their new stuff. Afterwards, Gel challenged me to another a game of Ms. Pacman. There was a lot of trash talking but only one winner. Here’s a hint as to who won.
Emery also challenged us to a deathmatch on Halo. Catch the documentary to see who wins that battle.
Bleed the Dream played main stage today. We were there to hang out with them. Dave, the guitarist, has vowed to go vegan for the entire Warped Tour. We’ll be checking in with him to see how things are going.
Sunday June 26
Strike Anywhere put on a great show today – including a shout out for peta2. Thomas, the lead singer, came to the booth afterwards to give away an autographed peta2 skateboard.
Many thanks to the Street Teamers for helping out at all of the booths – they’re doing a killer job handing out literature and getting people to sign our petition against Wet Seal.
It’s still hot and everyone’s ready to hit the road to New Mexico…
