Our animal-loving, Warped-Tour–rocking homies Pierce The Veil unveiled their new record, Collide With the Sky, this week, and we’ve got two copies up for grabs!

I have always lived in Los Angeles but my family and I went to Mexico for my parents wedding. So we came back to LA. I don't like LA but were here already what can I do unless I move out and find my own housing. I have always liked animals and it was til I was like about 14 when I learned about tests they do on animals and I began to explore animal cruelty because I was interested it in it. I have watched videos that just broke my heart so that's why today I'm doing all I can to not buy anything that has harmed an animal and I'm vegetarian .
I'm tall, I love sewing, fashion and the environment, also I'm vegetarian (wannabe vegan.) Obviously, I love animals! :)

Nothing is more delicious than pizza! I love ordering a cheeseless pizza on thin [vegan!] crust from a local pizza parlor, and loading it up with tons of veggies… especially banana peppers and jalapenos. Once it’s delivered to my house, I can’t resist sprinkling a bit of Tabasco over the whole thing.

I actually hate spicy foods, cause it just puts my mouth in flames. But a dish that is originally spicy is this vegan fish. It usually has jalepenos all over it as well as pepper…. But I have it as mild as possible. It is DELICIOUS

I’ve only recently became vegan and my mom freaked out when I told her the news since almost 60% what we eat is meat since most Mexican foods are made with meat and such. So, my mom went onto Google searching for vegan Mexican food recipes. She tried a bunch of recipes and I have to say, my most favorite one of those recipes were the Tempeh Tacos. The ingredients were tempeh, which is a soy product from Indonesia, according to Wikipedia. :3 There was also olive oil, maple syrup, liquid smoke, cumin powder, garlic powder, spicy chipotle powder, salt, pepper, orange juiced, apple cider vinegar. I also topped it off with some Tapatio hot sauce. (Apparently, it is vegan. :3) I don’t know if my mom used the same exact ingredients, but she did tell me what the tacos were called at least. I used to hate spicy foods and instead, (before I was vegan), I would eat carne asada with lemon and salt but, sigh, I gave that up once I did turned vegan but at least I have something to replace that with. x3

My favorite vegan food is the California Grilled Veggie Sandwich. Its a smoky and sumptuous veggie-filled grilled sandwich. All it takes is some veggies, like squash, bell peppers, & zucchini between focaccia bread, lemon-mayonnaise dressing, and crumbled feta. My family’s most loved and fairly spicy vegan meal is my mum’s special chickpea curry! She adds cumin, corriander and tumeric, cayenne and chilli powders, plus my favourite ingredient-coconut milk! It makes it yummy and creamy without the harm.
Another favourite is tacos with lentils, eggplant and sundried tomatoes spiced up with jalapeños (for everyone except my sister who doesn’t like spicy food) which mum agreed to cook on July 17th in celebration for Collide With The Sky lol

Agh I love this spiced broccoli my mom makes. Everytime I go to Sacramento we go to a restaurant called Shoki Ramen House, I always get the “Spicy Vegan Ramen Bowl” and it is so so so good! My mom makes me a kick butt spicy bean soup, that is amazing! Its complety vegan, and it has a great southwest/cajun taste to because she seasons it with cayenne pepper! She also adds tons of veggies , and delicious sweet corn, to calm the spice a bit. So Yummy! It’s perfect for is vegans cause its loaded with protein! But it would be tastier if I added alittle en fuego hotsauce, to put my moms vegan spicy black bean soup over the top!

My favorite would have to be vegan tacos. Its soy meat that taste like beef seasoned with lime and garlic seasoning. Or a soup my mom makes that consists of beans soy meat thats chicken flavored or beef flavored, with diced tomatos, cilantro, onions, and with chicken flavored seasoning and its all vegan.

Mine would have to be a spicy vegan chili burger that are speckled with red beans and brown rice, onion, a hint of kale, garlic and plenty of earthy chili powder spice – accented by paprika, black pepper . I also toss in some spicy chopped vegan sausage for some extra richness .

Seitan Potato Hash
2 tbsp grapeseed oil, divided
1 medium onion, diced
1 green pepper, diced
1 red pepper, diced
1 jalapeño, minced
5-7 red potatoes, cubed
1/4 cup water
1 1/2 cups seitan, cubes or strips
2 tbsp coconut amino acids or soy sauce
fresh ground salt and pepper

My freshman year in high school I was in Spanish class with older students and one of the projects was to make a Spanish/Latin American dish. A lot of people made paella and flan. But a girl in my class brought in a dish called Spicy Mango Citrus Ceviche. It was only later on I realized it was vegan. It was probably the best taste of sweet and spicy. I wish I could taste it again!

My favorite Spicy Vegan meal is going to have to be Vegan Seitan Fajitas.
The peppers and chili powder definitely spice it up and it’s so simple to make! Quick and easy, plus if you rather have a taco, you can just put it in a taco shell, it works the same and still tastes great!
Your hot sauce would definitely go great with it! Haha.

I absolutely loveeee everything spicy! Almost as much as I love Pierce the Veil (they’ve been my favorite band for years)! Seitan potato hash <3 – Get some different colored peppers, jalapenos, and onions. throw them in a pan and get 'em cooking with a little salt and pepper. Then add some cubed potatoes and let them get soft. Then add the seitan .and cover it to let it steam and the flavors combine. Total cooking time is about 20 minutes. OMG I'm hungry now… seriously the best dish evaaar!

My favorite spicey vegan food is Most definitely my home town vegan cafe’s sandwich called “Vegans Revenge” it’s a grilled portabella mushroom stuffed with grilled spinach, chopped tomatoes, chillies and jalapeño hummus on Swedish hard bread. It is oh so delicious and so satisfying! With a side of spicy vegan pesto fries it’s the perfect summer time meal!
