Our favorite post-hardcore heroes Silverstein are releasing their seventh studio album, This Is How the Wind Shifts, today, and word on the street is that it’s their best record to date. We’re so excited about this that we had to do a giveaway!
Silverstein has always embraced peta2 to the fullest. The entire band is veg, they’ve starred in a handful of interviews and ads, and we even have a special peta2 minisite devoted just to them! Our tour crew is also out on the road with them—right now!
What’s your favorite Silverstein record? Let us know in the comments below for your chance to win a Silverstein prize pack, including a poster and an LP copy of This Is How the Wind Shifts.*
*Five winners will be chosen at random from submitted animal-friendly comments in which the commenters tell us which Silverstein record is their favorite. Three grand-prize winners will receive a copy of “This Is How the Wind Shifts” on vinyl as well as a Silverstein poster. Two runners-up will receive a “This Is How the Wind Shifts” CD. Entries must be received by February 12, 2013. The winners will be chosen at random and notified on February 14, 2013. No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited by law.

A Shipwreck in the Sand, by far. Although, Silverstein is the only band I’ve ever found myself able to listen to the entire discography without changing a single song. Definitely one of my favorites!

DEFINITELY WHEN BROKEN IS EASILY FIXED. First album by them that caught me so hard, sounds so raw and awesomely good. Every album after that was STILL awesome and by far one of my most favourite band ever. Seen them twice live in Singapore and Hong Kong and cant wait for them to travel around the region again!

They’re all so good, but I’ll have to go with their first, When Broken is Easily Fixed. It got me hooked on them and I’ve never looked back! That was back when my cat was still with me and we would jam!

I liked Arrivals and Departures. It was really stripped-down and raw and personal and for that I really respect it as an album.

Silverstein has been my favorite band since 2003, and about 5 years ago I saw them at a show, and that’s when I first actually heard about Peta2 with the “Meat’s Not Green” campaign. Been Vegetarian since. I owe this wonderful band.
A Shipwreck in the Sand is my favorite album.
