Posted June 21, 2005 by Rachelle Owen is the latest tool in PETA’s campaign to persuade Wet Seal to adopt a fur-free policy for each of its nearly 400 stores. To kick things off right, we’ve created this brand-new e-card featuring a few adorable rabbits who ask if a little bit of fur trim is really worth the cost of their lives.
Once you’ve viewed the e-card, send it to everyone you know and encourage them to boycott Wet Seal until the store agrees never to sell fur again. Click on “Tell a Friend”, enter the e-mail addresses of your friends, family members, coworkers, classmates, and neighbors, and press submit. Be sure to use commas to separate your e-mail addresses, or it won’t send properly.
To give you some extra motivation, five lucky people who pass on the e-card will receive a free iPod. Winners will be selected at random, and the more people you send it to, the better your chance to win! The deadline for this contest is Monday, June 27, so start sending the e-card now!
First Batch of Warped Tour Winners Announced
The winners in no particular order are: Tracie Dorado, Jordan Summers, Nereida Macias, Courtney Rogers, Kristen Walk, Brian Goldstein, Alexis Arias, Jeremy Orr, Sasha Chrapko, Sara Grant, Ian Nelson, Andrea Ragan, Sarah Williams, and Max Ulman.
If you see your name in that big ol’ list, make sure that you check your e-mail because we’ll need you to reply before we can send out your tickets! We’ve still got tickets to plenty of dates on the tour, so enter to win a pair for the Warped stop nearest you. Even if you don’t win, remember to wear your favorite peta2 T-Shirt and stop by our tent to pick up your free silicone bracelet.
Survey Shows College Students Want Vegan Options
A survey released by ARAMARK today indicates that “out of more than 100,000 college students surveyed, nearly a quarter said finding vegan meals on campus — which contain no meat, fish, poultry or other products derived from animals such as dairy, eggs or honey — was important to them.”
Veganizing your cafeteria is easier now than ever. If you aren’t in school right now, then start planning for the upcoming year!
