BE A PART OF THE PETA2 MOVEMENT

Win the New FOB CD!

Today is a bittersweet record release day. On the one hand, one of my all time favorite bands is releasing a new record, but … it’s a “greatest hits” album and their last before they go on what some have speculated to be quite a long break. If you haven’t guessed yet, I’m talking about Fall Out Boy. Only a few years ago they were just 4 dudes from the suburbs of Chicago playing crappy pop punk in nearly empty VFW halls. Today it’s no stretch of the imagination to say that they’re one of the biggest bands in the world. And they’ve been supportive of peta2 from the get go! With long-time vegan Andy Hurley behind the kit, it’s not surprising that he’s spoken out about the cruelty of KFC and the benefits of a vegan diet.

So in honor of these princes of pop punk who I still adore despite the glitz and glamour and absurdity of it all, we’re giving away 2 copies of their new album, Believers Never Die. For your chance to win, leave a comment with the best Fall Out Boy show you’ve been to. And if you haven’t seen them live, make something up! Two winners will be chosen at random and notified on November 24.

I’ll kick things off! Of the ridiculous amount of FOB shows I’ve been to, I don’t know if I have a solid favorite, but I’d have to say that the show with The Reunion Show in Atlanta in 2003 is definitely memorable!

The best and second concert I went to was this April in Vancouver on the BND tour. I tried crowd surfing and it was awesome! The crowd was so alive and full of energy.

I’ve never seen them live cause they got banned from coming to Fresno,CA which I heard. But my friend who went to see them send mé videos and pics of the concert she went. It look fun! It was the Honda Civic Tour in 2007. My favorite part was when Dirty got Pete’s bat Bass and threw it in a lake that was close by the stage. Then Pete came in on a boat and got his Bass out of the water. The Honda Civic Tour had só many memorable moments. like when +44 was singing FOB,CobraStarShip and all who was on tour went on stage on their undies!! Haha!

The best Fall Out Boy Show I’ve been too was in Cedar Rapids, IA two years ago around Thanksgiving. There were 4 bands that played and I was up at the front in the crowd the entire night. At the end, they released this huge cloud of confetti that just filled the air. It was incredible.

Best one ever was at our concert hall thing and I went there and it was like all dark (i know i sound like a stoner) and then FOB came out and it was light and I was like, “Dude”. And I started a mosh pit. That was fun. Despite my size, I kicked @$$ !!!!!!

The best Fall Out Boy concert I went to was when they came to Vienna. It was part of the Young Wild Things tour. It was awesome. Gym Class Heroes, Cute is What We Aim for and Plain White T’s were there. It was so fun! I even caught Tom Higgenson’s guitar pick.

My favorite was my only.:D It was July 2, 2007,Hinda Civic Tour ’07.It was so amazing.Like you dont even know.I had such a blast, eventhough I was in the nose bleed seats.I was 13 and I was(and still am)in love with Patrick.Just seeing him on stage standing there looking beautiful was the highlight of my life,no joke.I remeber what they were waring too.I remeber Patrick had on a Clandestine jacket,it was like gold and brown. And black skinny jeans and a black hat. Then he changed into a red shirt with everything else.Im telling ya AMAZING!!!Im such a nerd,I listen to Live in Phoenix and I imagine me being in the Honda Center again.:D I remember I sent a text message to the texting thing and yeah.:D Wow long message. But yeah, very memerable.I so hope they got to Warped ’10!!So awesome!:D

all of them were awesome. i love fall out boy. the best show i guess would have to be the one when i snuck my cat in and he got lost and i was frantically searching for him and i went back stage and pete handed him to me and said i found him on the table and pointed to this huge table full of food and i almost melted and i just made all that up but how awesome would it be if that really happened…

I’ve only been to 2 FOB shows, but my fave was ealier this year in Sydney.
I was in the pit, and there were pyrotechnics and Pete Wentz stole hearts, as usual.
All American Rejects opened with Hey Monday, and it was the best showm ever.
    x.

A hard decision, cause all their shows are amazing as the others, BUT! I’ll have to go with one at Madison Square Garden this year when Mark Hoppus shaved Pete’s head!

It would have to be the The Young Wild Things Tour. 11/11/07-my 2nd FOB show.
My friends & i drove 3 hrs. To fairfax, va. When we, my friends & i, arrived we hung out for awhile and walked around, until we noticed and elevator in a closet like room with the door open. My friends and i got in the elevator and went down. We found ourselves in a hallway with a door at one end. We peeked in the window of door to see Mr. Wentz doing an interveiw. We all about freaked out! My friends dad, ernie, has much expirence in the music industry so he walked into the room alone, because 1 person walking in is less noticeable than a group of 7 or 8 of us. So we waited patiently in the hall way, until to huge security guards started walking our way, so we all pulled our phone and pretended to text, the secerity guard the shouts “HEY texting dude” to my dad. He asked why we were down there, since we had no excuse he made us go back up the elevator and had a seceurity dude stand near the door upstairs.
About 20 mins later Ernie, my friends dad, said he told Pete we came from our school to do a humanitarian report on him, and when Ernie came into the hallway with Pete we were gone.
Just to think we were soooo close to meeting Pete!
Also when they played Pete’s leg was broken from his crazy jump.
TRUE STORY, I SWEAR ON MY LIFE!
    (Best day evvvvver!)
Also, at the BND tour i met them in a meet in greet. Which was super sweet! But the story above was more memorable.

I went to this one Fall Out Boy concert once. We had awesome front row balcony seats. We look over to the side and see this dude dancing. We figure that he was some lonely 20 year old. When the lights flashed over, we saw that it was actually a 40 year old guy. My friends and I then started cracking up. That was the best FOB concert I have ever been to.

Well… I’ve never seen FOB in a concert (live) but I have to recognize that I’ve watched a lot of concerts in internet (lol) hahaha since I found FOB (I think that it was in the 2005) I couldn’t stop searching things about FOB and watching and learning the lyrics of their songs and also downloading images 😀 … So.. I’m from Chile, and it’s very difficult to get bands that can be interested of come to southamerica, and I know that FOB came to Chile last year (but I couldn’t go!!) :(
So the fans always are searching different ways to stay and know the bands, even if they’re a miles away.
    And that’s my history :)
    With love,
    Dani xoxo

The best FOB show I’ve been to was at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle last December! At the end of the show, during “Saturday”, Pete had everyone in the audience rush the stage!! It was so much fun, seriously one of the best shows I’ve ever seen.

I am a huge FOB fan. I am listening to Sugar Were Going Down. One time i went to their concert and i was in front row. And then Pete saw me and i was crying so hard that he pulled me on stage, and i got to stay up there for the rest of the concert. So after the concert i got to hang out with them for the rest of the day. We are now very cool friends we keep in touch.
    (only in my dreams)
but i would love to win this cd.

Well, I’ve only been to one FOB show (it was on April 30th in Maryland) but it’d tied with the Green Day Show in DC as my favorite concert ever! (I’ve been to a total of 6). The crowd was super excited and I could feel it around me. They played all my favorite songs and I didn’t feel stupid singing along, jumping up and down and waving my fist with the music. That’s one of the many reasons I love FOB!

    😮
    no way! gimmie gimmie! lol
Well the best show i’ve been to was at Los Premios 2009 last month where they performed beat it for the last time as a band ever :'( FOB was the last band to perform that night and we got the sweeet surprise that they would be playing a mini concert for us instead of just one song xD thnks fr th mmmrs was the last song they were going to play and before they started pete said we could climb the stairs and get as CLOSE to the stage as possible. i was on the first step on my knees like everyone else and in front of patrick *eek!* (coughandakwardlytouchedhislegcough) LOL! but people kept trying to leap frog me so I stood up and for the rest of the song got to be 2 feet away from patrick’s face! damn his eyes are gorgeous! lol
