Let’s be honest: Eating animals is downright nasty. It involves digesting flesh, muscle, tissue, hormones, stress, and a whole lot of fear, but most zombies don’t even think twice (duh! They’re zombies!). That’s why peta2 is introducing …
On July 12, spread the word about the zombie outbreak—and encourage your friends to kick their flesh habit. Grab the nearest pen or marker and get creative—write “NOT A ZOMBIE” or draw the “No zombies” logo on your hand and snap a pic (see below for some examples!). Send your pic to us at StreetTeam@peta2.com for 3,000 points!

The Street Teamer who sends in the most creative design or message will receive a “Flesh Is For Zombies” T-shirt, a peta2 monster button pack, and PETA’s Vegan College Cookbook!
Let’s spread this far and wide! (The mission, not the outbreak!)
Contest details: All entries must be received by Friday, July 22, 2011. A winner will be chosen by peta2 and notified by Wednesday, July 27, 2011. By entering, you are agreeing to peta2′s privacy policy and contest rules.

Hello! My name is Nina, and I am a musician-in-training, and I play 7 instruments. I am a liberal, an LGBT activist, avid reader, composer, singer, and poi spinner. I am vegan, and a strong supporter of animal rights.
I was born in Canada and love peta2. I table every month and meet new people:older and younger. I love music and play the recorder. I'm a 6 year spelling bee champion. Again I love peta2!
I have always lived in Los Angeles but my family and I went to Mexico for my parents wedding. So we came back to LA. I don't like LA but were here already what can I do unless I move out and find my own housing. I have always liked animals and it was til I was like about 14 when I learned about tests they do on animals and I began to explore animal cruelty because I was interested it in it. I have watched videos that just broke my heart so that's why today I'm doing all I can to not buy anything that has harmed an animal and I'm vegetarian .
I'm tall, I love sewing, fashion and the environment, also I'm vegetarian (wannabe vegan.) Obviously, I love animals! :)

So a couple of months ago I went online to peta2.com and of course being as curious as I am, I watched some of the videos and read some of the blogs and articles on there. After that I started to realize that the only thing we actually are doing is murdering all these animals and that it is just plain wrong. So I took the pledge to go veggie for a month, just to see what it was like and I ended up going veggie for several months. Now my friends and family couldn’t understand why I was doing this but they didn’t try to deter me from this path I chose. But after a while I started to feel like an outcast. Everytime we would go to a restaurant they always had no trouble finding something to eat while I had to try and think of every ingredient in every meal just to see if I could eat it or not. Finally I just gave up,I felt like it was to much of a hassle and I just wanted to be normal. So now it has been maybe another couple of months since I have made that decision to become a carnivore again, but now I am starting to ask myself “Why the hell would I want to be normal?”.Theres nothing special about being normal and I know for a fact that I am anything but normal and I am never going to be normal. So why in the world should I condone or even be a part of this mass murder that is going on all around us. I am not meant to be like everyone else so I’m not going to try to be like everyone else. I am me and I am meant to be a vegetarian and hopefully work my way up to being a vegan, where I know that I can truly be myself and be happy. Because, seriously, who can be happy being a zombie.
