Personally, I like almond milk. Coconut milk is good too though in hot cocoa. But it’s up to personal opinion. I’d say try them both and see which one you like best. :)

I honestly like both! I usually only use it for my coffee and cereal but there are days where I have prefrences!

Vanilla Silk Soy Milk is thicker and a bit more sweet
Blue Breeze Vanilla Almond Milk is thinner, more like the consistency than cows milk and has less calories per cup. I usually prefer to buy this one because it’s not too sweet so on those rare days where I was a cup I can drink some, but when I go out (and usually cause it’s the only option) I pick soy milk for my coffee.

Honestly for me which ever one is cheaper or on sale!

Soya milk is often cheaper but if price isn’t a factor for you then choose whichever you prefer the taste of. I personally like soya milk for shakes and rice milk for cereal.

I prefer Silk light soymilk on everything! It can be a little addicting. My favorite is actually silk coconut milk for cooking, though. It’s AMAZING.

Blue Diamond Almond Milk is straight from heaven, I drank it even before going vegetarian.

If you do go for almond milk, go for the brand from Aldi or Almond Breeze. Silk almond milk is waaaaay too sweet and thick.

Also, soy crops are failing, at least in the US, so soy milk and all other soy products are about to crazy pricey btw.

We use vanilla almond milk for to drink, put in cereal and baked goods. I use soy milk for all other things (mash potatoes)

I’ve always drank soy milk, I absolutly love the taste of it. One day, I decided to buy two cartons of almond milk, I was excited to try it so as soon as I got home I poured myself a glass and tried it. I’m telling you, I’ve never tasted something so discusting in my life. After a sip, I nearly died. I poured both cartons down the drain. Haha, I don’t know why I didn’t like it, it was just so rich and didn’t taste normal to me. I’d for sure go with soy if I we’re you but why not try both and see which one you like better?! (:

Hmmm. For taste I have to say almond milk because it is closest tasting to actual milk though soymilk is good too. I prefer almond milk on my cereal. Baking with either is fine as I’ve baked with both. Pricewise they are only a few cents in difference depending of brand and I’ve noticed organic soymilk is fairly cheap. Also keep in mind soy is up there on the list of GMOs (Genetically modified organisms) so if opting for soymilk make sure it’s GMO-free for sure.

Soy milk is more common and around where I live, cheaper. I also prefer it because it is less rich, which is a deciding factor in many recipes. I’d say, most common baking and uses use soy, but for a richer taste, like a thick sauce, almond. Congrats on going vegan!

I would have to say almond bc it is less in calories and very high in protein(I buy a brand 35 calories in a cup ,0g of sugar). As far as cooking goes I do not think the taste changes depending on which milk you choose. I do not really eat cereal but if I do I eat it dry or with water. I would recommend buying both and seeing which you prefer.

Btw Starbucks has soy milk and good earth also has vegan milks

Life summary : I love animals even more than people

  • jpatr1d

I have always loved animals, no matter what shape, size, color, species they are. I started as a vegetarian a few years ago, but i only knew that i didn't want to eat animal. i stoped for a while when i lost my job and ate what i could. no excuse i know. but soon later to realized my mission in life and purpose. i am here to be the voice of those who do not speak human. i changed my outlook to this because i found a boxer mix dog laying under my porch. she had gotten hit by a car and was severely starved. everyone around me was like leave it alone, you don't know where it came from, but i didn't care i had to save her. i rushed her to the emergency vet clinic where they did immediate surgery on her. despite those peoples commentary i saved a dogs life and from that point on i knew that if people treated a dog that way i wonder how people treat non domestic animals. I researched and came across peta2 where i now am an animal activist and vegan. I continue to help and save animals that i find and plan on never changing my ways for any one.
