Lately, I am just always hungry. I am vegan and a serious athlete. I have pita bread for breakfast, PB&J for lunch, a clif bar for a snack, some tofu or fake chicken type thing for dinner with bread, almond milk, and rice or pasta, and hummus right before bed. I also take vitamins. What could I add to my diet to add more protein or just fill me up?
I recommend putting more legumes and whole grains in your diet because they’re packed with protein and really fill you up! Try making a big pot of stew with lentils, brown rice or barley, and tons of veggies like carrots and broccoli. It can last you several days, too. 🙂
You definitely need to eat more at each meal – I agree with @Dagmar, any type of oats for breakfast is great for filling you up in the morning. Then add something like flapjacks, dried fruit and nuts etc. to your lunch because one sandwich is not enough, especially for an athlete!
