We’re going to Disney soon and my family already booked staying at a resort in Animal Kingdom. Since I know Animal Kingdom has animals in captivity, I’m planning to only go on the rides. I’m also skipping the fireworks. But my family is going to see the animals and fireworks. My mom is really mad at me because she claims that the animals have tons of room. She also claims that the animals are used to the fireworks because they are every night. I know why I feel the way I do but does anyone have any STATISTICAL facts I could share with her to help her understand my point of view? I think this would help.
A few years ago my family and I stayed at the Animal Kingdom resort at Disney and from what I remember, at the Animal Kingdom resort the animals do have lots of space and they are not touched by any of the kids and adults. They also have pleanty of food!
At the Animal Kingdom park, I dont exactly remember how much space they have. But the fireworks do scare the animals, I’m not so sure if these animals at Disney are used to the fireworks or not. But heres a website that has some information on how animals feel about fireworks: http://www.westsoundwildlife.org/wildlife/Coexisting/CO_Fireworks.html
I personally know nothing about Disney, as I’ve never been there, but maybe you could just explain to her that your beliefs are important to you, and you don’t want to take part in any activities that promote or encourage animal cruelty.
Hope this helps! <3
