Besides the fact that unnecessary killing is murder and eating meat is necessary I also have a problem with the pyramid mindset often present today, the abuse, and the waste. Most of the time where animals can survive there are products that the animals used that the people can also use to survive. If not then if they show respect and honor the sacrifice that animals made in return for their life, then I would believe the death of the animal would be more justifiable.

i dont have anything against people who choose to eat meat for any reason its their choice and they can do whats healthy for them however i do wish people in our society today would inform them selves a little beetter and have more compassion for the meat they are eating that is coming from factory farms however noone can argue that if yo need animals to survive and your not just hunting them for the fun of it and thats all the food you may get in the day there is nothing wrong with killing them for that purpose its just that the practice of eating meat has become corrupt and unnecessary in most cultures

Nope. They need to survive and eating animals, like farm animals or wild like fish or deer, I think is not wrong at all. It is sad that something living has to die to feed someone else, but that is the only way an animal can be ate. Humans do not have to kill animals to survive unless you are really bad off and that is the only way you can eat, but beside’s that animals eat animals and it’s really hard to stop that because thats how a lot of them survive. People have always ate meat to survive and now that we have alternatives we still choose to eat meat and I still don’t see a problem in that. People are entiled to eat meat if they want too.. They don’t want something fake when they can have real. I think the sad thing about eating animals is how some are treated b4 they die. I think if they had a good, healthy, somewhat long life it wouldn’t be so bad if they got killed to feed a family. Also I think not every family in this whole world could afford to be vegan.. People that are on welfare with a bunch of picky kids can’t be picky and can’t starve kids so I think when an animal has been treated right and it’s time for it to be tooken for food I don’t see a problem with that. That’s just how I see it though I know a lot see it different. But maybe if we lived in a better world, but we don’t. We can’t just rely on stores either b.c if the econmy crashes hard and $ isn’t worth a dime then you are going to have to survive on what you got, and thats when most people will have to hunt for their own food & if not then it will be hard to survive.

It two make some very great points

When there is a balance, such as when the Native Americans used every part of the buffalo they killed, and respected it, and needed it, that is different from the fast food and other meat industries today, which torment and hurt the animals without cause. Some things are worse than others, but still, the exploiting of animals is wrong. Also, FAR is right about people in other countries having more vegetable based diets. It is much more efficient, and the food growing space used to feed animals in the US could feed a great portion of the world vegetables. This is not to say that we should deprive people in third-world countries of their livelihoods, but again, we must fight the needless suffering of animal en masse a little closer to home in the developed countries.

I think in countries where people don’t have a lot of food etc they are less likely to eat meat. When they do eat meat it is very small etc. Like if just Americans (as we are the worst when it comes to this) were to stop eating the amount of meat they do just cutting back on portion sizes or how many meals we eat with meat or completely going vegetarian or vegan it would help feed a lot of people. This is because it takes more food to feed the animals than it does to feed humans. I don’t think I or we would necessarily protest people in these situations. I mean we have a final goal of no animals being used in any way but its always best start at the roots and biggest parts of the problems. Which is why you see us attacking fast food joints first.

I just wanted to post my opinion on eating animals. There are many reasons why people justified eating animals the same as while people justify not eating them. Since mankind has walked this earth we have been eating animals but we didn’t just discard the rest of the animal – we used it. Now in modern times we have many alternatives but that is not gonna stop the human population from eating them. So my question to everyone is if culture/society has no other way of obtaining their basic needs ( shelter,food etc) because there are many countries which haven’t or refused to be caught up in the modern age of technology and therefore kill animals, for food,clothing and shelter. So would you protest those people for killing animals?
