Robins and rhubarb are classic signs of spring and I’m so happy both are finally here! I remember as a kid our neighbor had a big rhubarb patch and every spring she’d bring us a big box of rhubarb which my mom would always whip into strawberry rhubarb pies. Mom also taught us that you can only eat the stalks…the leaves are toxic. She’d cut up a few raw stalks and we’d pile on a boatload of sugar for a sweettart kind of treat…so yumfully good!
