• Are some people born stupid to animal needs?

I am as angry as a hornet right now and I am in need of a good rant.
My sister found a dog on the side of the road as a pup and decided to take it home. The dog is chained and no matter how many times I have offered to put up a fence for the dog so it can have some freedom she has refused.
She has also lied to me and told me she had her dog fixed well behold the dog has had puppies, to be truthful she has had eight.
Well as weeks passed I noticed my sister was not feeding the poor dog properly and so I took to feeding her one meal a day, I have found out though that the one meal a day I have been feeding her is the only meal the dog has given!
Last week I two different days I buried a pup and then a second one, birth defects due to unknown reasons so I took it upon myself to give these poor animals a proper burial after my sister wished to just as she said ‘toss ‘em in the trash’.
Well now six pups are getting bigger and exploring but my sister wishes to keep these puppies.

I personally have made a plan, she is welcomed to keep one boy puppy when old enough will be fixed in exchange the mother as well as the other pups when old enough are to be given away to the animal shelter in hopes of them finding proper homes and in trade the puppy my sister keeps is to be well fed as it should be and is not to be chained because it is a horrible life.
Who here agrees with my plan?

Personally, I don’t think she deserves to have any animal. When someone shows an animal that much neglect, it’s not likely to change, no matter what the “deal” is.
I think it would be best to find the momma dog and all the puppies suitable homes.

Everyone is born to be a little different, but the environment and the people surrounding them as they grow up make a huge difference to what kind of person they become.

My sisters and I were raised by our mother but it seems as though ever since my sister met her now ex-husband she just forgot to love the animals she has and no longer cares for them or about them.
I have asked her today if she loved her animals and she says she does but while she was leaving for work I reminded her to feed her dogs with the dog food I bought for them and she said and I qoute ‘It is not my job to feed my animals, it is yours’.
I am beyond annoyed for she was suppose to feed her pets but it is clear she no longer cares,

Most people aren’t born stupid, they’re raised that way.

Thank you ever so much @nomeatnodairynoprob1em for your kind words.
Many people believe I am more of a problem then of a help to the world due to my kind nature, I can easily saw no to a person but not to an animal in need.

I hope you have a wonderful Holiday as well as good weather, where I currently am it is pouring down rain. Not very good to be out in but I was putting hay into my sister’s dog house to make sure that she as well as her puppies are all nice and warm.
If they were to get ill I to not have the funds to take them to the vet on my own and my sister would not care so much if they were to be sick so it would fall on me to do so.
Anyway having a lovely day, having some nice hot coco and putting wood into my wood burning heater as the rain seems to make the day even colder.

    Wishing everyone Happiy Holidays.

    @EnchantedBeginnings
I’ve known people like your sister so I know the feeling.
Your comments are interesting and they don’t come across as rants.
I’m very glad you’re there to help those animals and I sincerely hope you’ll be able to solve this problem.
In an ideal world, the animals would all be taken away from your sisters home and she’d never again be entrusted to care for an animal.
And if the universe were kind, you’d win the lottery so that you could easily afford to care for (or find homes for) these abused animals.

I think it was her ex-husband… to me he seemed to really not care about animals even though he wanted to keep getting them he never would take them to a vet or even feed them properly though now that they are no longer together it seems my sister no longer feels a conection to her animals and there for no longer cares about them. She had a parakeet and after seeing the poor thing pull out his feather’s due to mistreatment I took him to my grand parents to whom are elderly and I go to everyday to make sure that they are alright as well as their pets. They have a very old terrier mix as well as the parakeet. I would have taken the bird in myself but my two in door cats would not allow it to live in peace.
She also has had many cats over the years who as to how she says it ‘they just up and “run” away’. Mind you I believe they really did run away due to looking for a better place which is not her home for she never does anything but watch tv, litter boxes are never emptied.

Sorry once again I am ranting but it is just so silly, she is eight years older then I but she seems to have no sense of animal know-how. I mean it is insane to how she thinks that animals can live on hardly anything while they watch you come home, begging you for food and you just walk inside and never look back.

Forgive me I should not be ranting so but she has just made me beyond angry today, she has come over for a Christmas party and has told everyone my animals were fat! My cats and dog are perfectly healthy, right weight, vet records no health problems and she has commented that I have them in bad health?
I think it is not right for her to talk to me about my animals when I wish to scream in her face at how her own dog with puppies is skin and bones.
She has no brain when it comes to animals well-fare.

It’s possible for some people to be naturally less intelligent, understanding, compassionate or empathetic than others, but that’s what parents are for.
If a child appears to not understand how to properly treat others, parents are supposed to teach them.
Most likely, your sister was either not raised properly or something happened to her later in life that screwed her up.
