    Table showing some issues and where they stand on them. The footnotes mentioned are:

    1. The Coalition has no formal animal welfare policy in its policy platform, but has made election commitments to help marine and threatened species.

    2. Australian Independents have no specific live export policy, however the party’s leader has publicly campaigned against live export.

    3. Pirate Party Australia supports a shift to the chilled/frozen meat trade. It has stated it wouldn’t support a bill to end live export at this point in time, although it ‘may support’ a proposed phase out.

    4. The Shooters and Fishers Party does not have a specific animal welfare policy but has several policies that would impact animals, including ‘Hunting and Fishing Tourism’.
