    Me too! I also wish it could be sooner,so they don’t have to go on suffering like that!
    I wish that zoos could be banned,I’m pretty sure it’s not just the elephants
    that are suffering from weight and health problems.Those kinds of animals
    were not meant to be fed by us,or kept in captivity.They deserve to be in the wild
    eating a diet that consists of things found in their natural environment,like their family
    that they were taken from is still eating.

    You’re so right. In the wild they wouldn’t be ‘fat’. It just shows that zoos have no idea how to care for elephants – they’re feeding them the wrong diet and not giving them the space and exercise they need.

    The article said “In the next 50 years, the captive population will not be viable and will be extinct. In 50 years, there will be no more elephants in zoos,” I really hope this is true, and happens sooner than 50 years.
