I am currently 20 weeks pregnant and I am a vegetarian but my husband is not. So everyone wants to know if I’m going to make the baby be a vegetarian. I want to. Anyone else been in the same position?

never been in the situation, but i agree with belows. let your baby grow up increasing the worlds beauty by helping some of the most beautiful creatures, but remember to find plenty of other sources of protein, as that is kinda important, but go for it!

Hey @leahler, I think you should totally keep your baby vegetarian until they have a say in what they eat. It’s natural and healthy and like said below, it will definitely teach compassion for other animals to your child. I say go for it, and good luck! :)

Like the others, I’ve never been in the same position, but I would like to! I mean, it’d be normal for the baby to be vegetarian if he/she starts out as vegetarian, right? Then later when they get older, they can choose to be vegetarian or eat meat. That’s exactly how average people started out; we ate meat when we were little because that’s how we were raised, and we chose to be veg*n. It’s the same thing :) Whatever you decide to do, best of luck!

I’ve never been in the same position, but when/if I do have a child of my own I will raise them vegan.

I’m afraid I can’t offer any real-life advice as I’ve never been pregnant but if I ever did have a child I would definitely raise them veg*n as I believe it’s a healthy diet and teaches compassion.
