I live in New Jersey and I saw on the news just yesterday that in Millville, NJ (not too far from me) there is a farm that has been using pesticides to kill birds. Although he is licensed to use the pesticide I still don’t think it is right. The birds (red wing black birds) would ingest the pesticide and it destroys their nervous systems. People reported that the birds would flail on the ground, flutter a little, fly into trees, and some just dropped dead from the sky. I’m sure there are plenty other methods they could use to scare off the birds rather then kill them. I don’t know if we will be able to do anything to stop this but I feel it would be worth a shot. These gorgeous birds don’t deserve to die. I’ve linked the news broadcast below so that you can get more information on this. Please get back to me as soon as you can, I’m willing to do anything to save these birds. http://abclocal.go.com/wpvi/story?section=news/local&id=8773445
