What type of classes do you have to take if you want to have a carer in working with animals??? What are some stepping stones in getting your foot in the door of a career in working with animals?? PLEASE HELP!
Are you in high school? If you are than taking a lot of science and social science classes will help.
If your a college student you will want to major in a life science(biology, zoology, chemistry, etc) or psychology. Animal careers are all about experience which are easy to get once you are in college. As a college student you will be able to intern or volunteer at animal sanctuaries, rescues, wildlife organizations, etc.. As long as you make an effort to gain some experience you will be set to go! Even as a high school student you can volunteer with animals at shelters.
You don’t necessarily have to take any certain courses to get into an animal rights career! The most important thing is to be passionate, driven, and stay motivated.
You could always get your foot in the door through an internship! PETA has an internship program, but you have to be 18+ to apply! If you want to learn more about it, check it out here: http://www.peta.org/about/intern-at-peta/ 🙂
