So if you haven’t been hearing a lot about Chick-fil-A lately you probably live under a rock. 😛
It is now known that Chick-fil-A holds a anti-gay stance and donates money to anti-gay organizations. Now I see a bunch of human equality protests starting up at Chick-fil-A’s which is awesome! I’ve seen a few protests joined in by animal rights activists as well too. I know peta2 and other animal rights organizations like Mercy for Animals openly support LGBT rights, there probably isn’t an animal rights organization that doesn’t as that doesn’t make sense. I know I myself would be proud to protest against Chick-fil-A for both human equality and animal rights!
So this is basically just a post to try and help get the ball rolling. As now is a great opportunity to protest against a company that is against both human equality and animal rights.
@NicoleLynne Yes, we were holding hands like we have the right to; they had no right to throw us out for doing so. They do discriminate against the LGBT community, and as a gay man and animal rights activist, I know that by purchasing their products, I would support their stance on inequality and inhumanity. I do not have to prove anything to you, seeing as you stand by homophobia, bigotry, inequality, and animal abuse. @peacelovepie I can totally agree with you on what you said.
@NicoleLynne I am on food stamps and a vegan. Being poor is not a reason to eat meat nor a hindrance to avoiding it. It’s much cheaper to not buy meat. Poorer countries eat far fewer animal products and have lower rates of certain diseases because of this.
I started boycotting CFA years ago after they fired a friend of mine who happened to be gay, a practice that should be illegal regardless of a company’s views.
@wendyportlynne Chick-fil-a donates millions of dollars to anti-gay causes, as well as supporting the “traditional” family. Additionally, (not on the anti-gay subject, but still on the Chick-fil-a discrimination subject) working mothers have been fired at some branches, so that they could be “stay-at-home moms”. That sounds “great” to me, how about you?
What bothers me about this is when people try to make it out to be an issue of freedom of speech. It isn’t that at all- it’s the fact that people are suddenly aware of the shitty things Chick-Fil-A does, and now that they know, they’re making their own decisions about if they want their money going to them or not.
I can do this “gay” if I want. && I like what wendyportlynne said. & loveall how do we know your telling the truth .. how did the people there even know that, that was your boyfriend unless you guys were acting like a couple?
