Classic arguments fellow Christians give me:
    1. Animals don’t have souls
2.The bible says we have domain over animals..
How do i respond to this?
Does any else have any other Christians arguments to share?

I’m a christian but I don’t look at it that way. Animals should have just as many rights.

    @@@FAR

I don’t really care either way, so I’m not mad just typing what I want to type. Yes, I guess I would say I am a “Christian” .. but I don’t label myself as that I believe and God and asked for his forgivness & that is all that matters…. There are many “Christians” , people who believe in God who are veg. You don’t even have to be a “Christian” to define why the bible and God says it is okay to eat meat.

The bible contradicts itself enough that you could argue anything.
    1. If they didn’t believe in God, would that make killing humans okay?
    2. Or Stewart-ship, depending on your translation.
“lo tirtzack” seems pretty clear. No killing whatsoever.

An argument (kinda poorly written) that the bible promotes veg*nism.

Yes arguing about this kind of stuff is dumb but it still happens and yea it is more than just Christians who argue about it. It sounds like you are just mad since you are a Christian yourself but you can’t deny that many Christians throw this kind of BS in our faces all of the time. Like I tend to not start arguments about meat eaters it is others who simply become offended by the fact that I am vegetarian and feel as they have to argue with me or “save me”.

Arguing about that stuff is all dumb in my opinion. If someone eats meat it shouldn’t be a big deal, if someone does not eat meat it shouldn’t be a big deal. & it’s not just “Christians” who argue about eating animals, a lot of people eat animals for thier own reasons.

People can pick verses from the Bible and present them in a way to justify whatever they want it to.

Well first off, I don’t see why anybody would have a problem with you be vegetarian/vegan, but if they do start to argue with you, you can say:
    1) God gave us this planet to take care of it; being veg is better for the environment.
    2) Animals are God’s creation, and they can also feel pain. Just like he has compassion and mercy for us, I have compassion and mercy for them.
    3) Our body is a temple, and my being a veg is better taking care of it.

And where is the proof that animals do not have souls? You can’t see a soul. So how do they know that they don’t have one.
And the teaching that only humans have souls streach back centuries and is based on human word alone. God never said souls were only attributed to humans.
    The bible also says:
“And God said, behold I have given you every herb-bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed: to you it shall be for meat.”
    Genesis 1:29

One time this christian kid in my class told me I needed to start eating meat again because God wanted me too. Like he was legit about this not just joking like he was concerned for me about going to hell. All it led up to was me saying What if God’s not real? Which he responded with I better not say God isn’t real because the last kid who said that to him got punched in the face. Very righteous of him right?

I am an atheist but who do you think would have more of a problem with? A girl who has never gotten in a fight and chose to not eat meat or a kid who punches other people simply for saying God isn’t real.

Hi there! My name is Devon and I'm 16 years old. I joined PETA because I hate animal abuse and the whole slaughterhouse and inhumane things that go on there. Currently vegetarian, but going in the vegan direction! I love the Beatles, Wings, and Paul McCartney in general. I became vegetarian as a mix between honoring the late Linda McCartney and loving animals. Don't be afraid to talk to me!
