when i first decide to be a vegetarian my mum didnt believe me ! right the next day i got a hot dog for lunch (my mum packed it ) i refused to it .. so she started taking me seriously and once we went to this chinese/thai place and i didnt eat meat there either … my parents actually grew to respect my decision and yours will too
you need to tell them that its a decision you think is right and a decision you want to take independently , ask them for their support
it’ll work for sure ! good luck

You will get responses telling you to try to share knowledge with them about how veganism is a healthy lifestyle and it’s better for you, the environment, and the animals. Which is all true, and you should definitely try.
But here’s the thing, your parents absolutely CANNOT force you to eat something. Saying meat is the only thing they “let you” have is absolutely absurd. If they give you meat – just don’t eat it. If they tell you meat is the only option, then GO MAKE YOUR OWN MEAL. If you’re old enough to be on the internet, you’re old enough to prepare your own food.
You don’t want to eat meat. So don’t. Stand up for your beliefs, and remember that they ABSOLUTELY CANNOT force you to eat something you don’t want to eat.
