    When people try to question my vegetarianism; I tend to freeze up and not be able to think of anything to say.

    You could say things like…
    “I actually have compassion for animals”
    “I’d rather not promote torturing, brutal murdering, and tearing the flesh off of live animals”
    “You question why I don’t eat meat? Well give me a good reason why YOU do.”

    If you’d rather be less mean about it, you could say…
    “I really love animals and the idea of eating them just sickens me.”
    “Animals deserve to live, not be chopped up into a quick meal.”

    Read PETA’S faqs, make a list of all of the ?’s people ask you, read books, and watch documentaries. Never swear and dont change the topic. For example if someone says ” God gave us animals for food” dont make the conversation about athiesm. That will just turn them against you.
