This is so so so important! Especially on extreme hot/humid sunny days. It doesn’t matter how long you leave the dog in the car, 5 minutes is too long and a cracked window is not enough!

There was a case recently just outside the city where I used to live, about a couple that left their dog in the car while they went in the mall. I don’t understand why someone would bring there dog along if they were going in the mall, and even if it was just to quickly get something why did both people have to go in?? One person could have stayed outside and taken the dog for a walk while waiting, not leave the dog alone to suffer in a boiling car! Or better yet, LEAVE YOUR DOG AT HOME. A witness ran inside the mall and told security who then rushed outside after calling emergency services, and tried splashing water through the tiny cracked window. When fire crew arrived they broke one of the back windows but the dog had fallen unconscious. They began trying to resuscitate the dog but sadly he passed from heat stroke. I think one of the most frustrating things was that the female owner of the dog worked at a pet store! How fracking stupid can you get! These are the people that are giving advice to pet owners!! She also did a lot of animal-related volunteer work. I’m just astonished that someone like that could be so stupid to make such an irresponsible decision. Both owners of the dog are facing animal cruelty charges.

I have grown up with 7 brothers and sisters. 4 brothers, 3 sisters. I was raised eating animal products, and never once was taught to value animals. When I was 13 years old I did some research for myself and found out the horrible truth's behind the meat industry. Continued my research to this day on concerning topics. Im now an animal activists and have been teaching people about these horrors I've discovered and how we as a group can speak up for these creatures whoo can't do it for themselves.
