• Double paw trouble for my cat?

I love my cat. She’s a black cat, named Mandolin and she’s a lovely girl!
She has double paws, and her dew claw (I believe that’s what it’s called) is always hurting her. It’s ingrown and she is always in pain.
Do I just get that one claw removed? I’m against declawing cats 100%, but I just can’t bare to see my baby in pain.
Any suggestions on what to do to help her?

If it is for medical reasons I think it’s okay because she is going through pain and it could get infected. Ask your vet about what your cat needs. I hope she gets better.

If it’s best for Mandolin then getting a claw or two removed to prevent her from being in pain sounds like the best solution. Ask your vet for advice.
