• Eating Humans

In grade 3, I remember being taught that humans are animals. Then in grade 4 health class I remember being taught Humans were ment to eat animals, the nutrition is good for us, God put animals on the earth for humans to eat. So by tht logic, canabilism is ok, God ment for us to eat animals, and humans fall into the catagory of mammals, which is a type of animal?? (Just in case im letting you know i do NOT this eating humans is ok.) In grade 4 I was a vegetarian, so I was pretty mad. At recess a bunch of my classmates were talking to the teacher (thank God he was a supply, my grade 4 teacher was the only teacher so far who didnt glare at me or give me the lecture on why vegetarianism is wrong) and I guess my classmates told him I was vegitarian, because the next thing I knew he was going on about how eating meat is ok and I was wrong etc. I still dont understand that day or that man. Eating animals is ok, and humans are animals???

@NicoleLynne We are actually considered mammals because human females have MAMMAry glands (boobies) and because we give birth to live babies. Lol, see the connection?
    @Montanaman Nice article! :p
@SkiVegChick I agree, we live in a messed up world…

A more lighthearted note on this subject check out Cannibalism is the Cure by Get Set Go

Many people say that eating meat is good because it is “complete protein” but the only protein that is truly nutritionally complete for humans is our own, so they make a great case for cannibalism haha :P

Just as there are currently laws against the murder and consumption of human animals, so shall there soon be laws against the murder and consumption of non-human animals.

    Society.
    I don’t even.
Eating animals that aren’t humans is generally accepted by society, because it’s not something we can relate to.
But if you saw someone butchering a woman and pulling out her insides, wrapping them in plastic and selling them. .
. . yeahh. there would be legal shit.
So i don’t know what society’s up to these days.

What society teaches you makes no sense sometimes, seriously.

We are considered mammals because we have hair thats what I was always taught. But anyways think about it though would you rather eat if you had to choose.. your mother ooor a cow . What would you choose? That is the main reason we do not eat humans . God made Adam, man out of his own image.. he didn’t make cow he made man. A man can grow up to be a vet that heals animals.. but an animal could never be a docter. Not all people are good but eating them would be more inhumane then eating a cow from just the simple fact that you would not eat your sister if you had a cow to eat. I think we should focos on how the animals get treated more then on trying to prove points about eating animals by trying to argue with eating humans b.c people will choose their blood over animals . A human mom is not going to eat their baby.. but an animal just might.

well there are some cultures that do eat humans. Yes homo sapiens are classified as mammals but in which people justified their eating animals may be for whatever reason – in the bible God gives a list of what animals to consume and what not to eat. In ancient times like native americans becoming a vegatarian I don’t think was really an option and when they killed a buffalo they used all of the buffalo the meat, fur etc because they needed to survive. Now in modern times we have other options that eating meat but everyone is not just gonna give up that good piece of chicken. Personally my views on the matter mostly likely would probably make some people angry and I don’t care it’s my opinion and I just hope you respect it like I respect yours.

Then it’s a good thing humans have free will or we’d all be eating animals and cannibalizing.

I’ve often wondered the same thing.. People will do anything to justify their eating habits :p

Exactly. I wrote on my profile that we consider ourselves “mammals” but don’t treat other animals with the same respect as ourselves. Its hypocritical and a double standard. But everyone I know, from my family to my friends tell me my logic doesn’t make sense because animals eat other animals and there is no problem, because it was meant to be that way. They’re logic has a point, but I’m still against killing animals for any reason.

I have always loved animals, no matter what shape, size, color, species they are. I started as a vegetarian a few years ago, but i only knew that i didn't want to eat animal. i stoped for a while when i lost my job and ate what i could. no excuse i know. but soon later to realized my mission in life and purpose. i am here to be the voice of those who do not speak human. i changed my outlook to this because i found a boxer mix dog laying under my porch. she had gotten hit by a car and was severely starved. everyone around me was like leave it alone, you don't know where it came from, but i didn't care i had to save her. i rushed her to the emergency vet clinic where they did immediate surgery on her. despite those peoples commentary i saved a dogs life and from that point on i knew that if people treated a dog that way i wonder how people treat non domestic animals. I researched and came across peta2 where i now am an animal activist and vegan. I continue to help and save animals that i find and plan on never changing my ways for any one.
