Hey @msharkgirl,
Remember that the best way that you can help animals is by making being vegan look easy and fun! Because it is!
No need to go buying new plates and pans.

Surely people wash plates after they’ve been used, so why should it matter?

@SassyVegan thanks that made me feel a lot better. my dad brought up the subject, i’ll just continue eating on the same plates as the rest of my family.

I think that’s just a personal preference. I still eat off of the same plates that my family has had for years and years. So obviously, that’s not a big deal to me.
For me, being vegan isn’t about personal purity. Yes, I really DO make an effort to cut out all aninal products. But in reality, that’s not possible. Being vegan is about doing the BEST YOU CAN to reduce animal suffering. So I wouldn’t stress out about using plates/silverware that have come in contact with animal products. ![]()
Unless it REALLY bothers you. In that case, go for it lol.

My dad said that true vegans don’t eat off of plates and pans that have have meat cooked in or eaten off of in the past. Is this true? Do I need to buy my own plates and pans?
