    I take a class in school to become a CVA and they were asking us if we wanted to show a pig at the state fair I was like uhh sure show a pig win money why not? Then the teacher told us how we get money…we dont get our pig back….they bring it to the slaughterhouse. I was so offended by this that this even goes on and people are okay with it!

    Try to bring up an idea of sending this little piggy to a sanctuary.

    FAR you are soo off base with that.. Only a SMALL percentage of animals go off to auction at the end of a fair. most animals at a fair are breeding projects for 4H and FFA members you need to also rember a LARGE amount of animals at a fair are owned by adults. And adults can not do Auction animals. So you need to do some reasearch before you comment.

    That’s what happens to almost all the animals at fairs. They are there most of the week and are shown off and then at the end of the week go to auction to be slaughtered.

    So sad that they are teaching students that it’s okay to kill animals when we don’t have to! If you need help talking to your teacher about this be sure to e-mail us at peta2@peta2.com.

    And remember that the best way to fight animal abuse is by going vegan! Not only will you stop paying others to kill animals for you (which is pretty nuts-o), but you’re going to save the lives of over 100 animals a year! :)
