Recently I had to go to Frankie & Benny’s for a family meal so beforehand I contacted them about vegan options and was given the following information, that I thought might be useful to other UK vegans:
Menu choices that can be adapted to be suitable for vegans, please let your server know about your requirements.
Starters: Bread and Olives
Doughballs with olive oil rather than garlic & parsley butter
Dough sticks – Neopolitan
Lighter options starter – Tomato and red onion salad
Mains: Pizza without cheese but topped with vegetables
Penne Arrabbiata prepared without garlic and parsley butter
Desserts: Mango or lemon sorbet
From the side dishes: jacket potato (without the butter), baked beans, salad, corn on the cob (without the butter), mixed vegetables, house fries.
Thank you for this post ! Before I was vegan I enjoyed the Cajun spice veggie pizza, but even without cheese I think I will ask for that again – well worth a try ! I thought they would have a few more vegan options than that – particularly some where we don’t have to strip out all the sauces ! Bit annoying !
They may have some different options now as it was almost a year ago that I contacted them and I know menu’s can change. It might be worth contacting them to see if there’s anything new or different they can offer.
