    I just came home from a two week overnight camp, and I swear half the food had gelatin. I did a five day canoe trip, and three times I couldnt eat breakfast because there was becel mardrine and/or marshmellows. :/ on the last day I had the choice of eating a breakfast with gelatin in it, or eating lunch at mcdonalds. I chose McDicks, because like, at least then I could get somthing vegitarian, but I still felt bad buying stuff there seeing as I’ve signed how many petitions against them?? :$ But aside from the food, I absolutly love that camp!!!! (Its called Wanakita, located in haliburtan ON canada) and next year if I go it will be as a student counciler for a month, but I really dont know if I can spend a whole month trying to avoid gelatin :/ advice??

    @SkiVegChick

    E-mail, call, or chat with someone in charge of the camp! Ask them to provide vegan friendly options for the whole group. You could inspire a change. ;)

    Whenever I go away, I always take Trek bars – that way I can eat one if the food on offer isn’t vegan and it’ll keep me going until the next meal.

    Hey @SkiVegChick,

    Talk to the camp leader about it. :) Ask for more healthy options like veggie burgers, oatmeal, almond milk, vegan chili, etc. :)

    You can try going to the store and getting a stash for those days you are out there. Try to pack nonperishable food ahead of time.
