The male/female gender options and typical gay/bi/straight sexuality options kinda squick me out. Some people are non-binary and I’d really like to see a website that allowed me to truthfully say I’m pansexual instead of just bi. Bluh. I’d really appreciate at least a gender option stating “other” if not allowing a gender option for “non-binary” or “genderfluid” as well and a sexuality option saying “pansexual” and “asexual”. It just makes me kinda uncomfortable. Thoughts?
they aren’t very popular terms, I doubt anyone has asked, it isn’t that big of a deal, they have other things to deal with etc. I consider myself pan-sexual but I also have no problem calling myself bi-sexual as that is the more well known term and there really isn’t that much of a difference mostly considering all sexual orientations are extremely fluid. Labels are stupid anyhow.
o_O “Pansexual”, “non-binary”, “genderfluid”? Do these bizarre terms actually mean anything to the general public? Is it really that important for an animal rights group to include terms which are totally out of the mainstream? If I were you, I would just select whichever best describes you in commonly understood terms like Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, or Straight. You have plenty of space on your profile to write additional information about yourself.
