My last boyfriend would yell at me, and tell me if I didn’t start to eat meat again he would probably leave me. I just wanted to start this discussion in case any of you have been in the same situation and needed help and love. xoxo <3

Wow…..that guy obviously didn’t respect your beliefs and therefore didn’t deserve to be your boyfriend

My boyfriend used to be really against me being vegetarian. He’s Australian, & a total meat lover. Apparently in Australia people love meat. Like LOVE meat. Especially lamb. (I know not all Australians are like that, but he seems to think so) He would say things like “yuk”, “gross”, etc. whenever I said something about tofu, veggie dogs, veggie burgers, or anything vegetarian. He also told me that he didn’t want me to eat with his family if I was vegetarian. He said I’d embarrass him in front of his meat-loving dad. Eventually he got over it though, & he’s now completely supportive about it. (He even said he’d try tofu! :O) It took MONTHS for him to be okay with it. A lot of fights & me getting upset, but he finally stopped being a jerk about it.

That’s controlling and if he is like that over what you eat and don’t eat then he could probably be controlling in many other ways as well. Leave someone like that as soon as possible.
