That’s horrible! You shouldn’t get yelled at for your dietary choice. Leave people like that, because you don’t need them in your life.

My ex was like that. People who are disrespectful like that are no friends to anyone.

Honestly, it shouldn’t matter to the person you’re dating if you choose NOT to eat something. You wouldn’t yell at someone if they said they didn’t like a certain kind of food, so you shouldn’t get yelled at because you have a better reason for not eating meat other than “you simply don’t like it.”

if the person you’re dating can’t be supportive of your major choices, then you deserve better, simple as that.
