I can’t seem to find anything that doesn’t contain glycerin! It doesn’t say if its vegetable based either! I avoid it in food but in beauty products… Nope. I shop at body shop because they don’t test on animals but glycerin/glycerol is in nearly all of their products! Help me!

@Veggiebell Did you miss this line “As for our ingredients, it’s only when there is no alternative way to predict an adverse effect that we must resort to animal testing, which represents less than 1% of safety assessments.” so yes, they DO still test on animals. There are plenty of other ways to test adverse reactions other than using non-human animals.

As for glycerin, the general rule is that if it doesn’t say if it’s from vegetable or animal origin, then avoid it until you’ve got an answer from the company!

@teatowls There’s LOADS of vegan products in Superdrug! They label when it’s suitable for vegetarians and/or vegans, and I buy about 98% of all my bath and toiletry products from there.

Body shop is now owned by L’Oreal so I don’t consider them to be cruelty free any more.

I know Urban Decay is vegan and if you’re in the UK Superdrug tends to not test on animals for their own brand products…not sure what’s vegan from them though.
