I am planning to go vegetarian for a second time.. I am not sure what the best method would be to go vegetarian and be able to stick with it.. Should I gradually get rid of meat or quit eating meat cold-turkey? Any suggestions?

Cold-turkey. Find your faves…like frozen vegan burgers, nut butters, snack bars, hummus…and keep them on hand for cravings. And join the nearest meetup group for support and yumful potluck dinners!

For me I went cold-turkey, but I know some people cut out red meat then chicken, fish, etc.

try cold-turkey. It may be easier. Try to remind yourself to stop eating meat by using helpful hints: maybe buy some faux meat, to help you.
    Hope this helps.

If you need any tips on the transition, feel free to ask me though, I’ve gone through a lot of struggles to keep my diet, and just recently have made the decision to go full on vegan.

I’d say drop the meat right away. Weaning yourself off of it will give you more of an opportunity for failure. It’s not an addiction like cigarettes, your body will be happy when you give it up right away (:

You should examine your own situation and consider what would work best for YOU. Some people quit cold “turkey,” and others do it step by step. I personally stopped eating it all at once, but that may not work for some people.

I recommend just dropping it all at once and keeping a bunch of substitutes around.
If you find yourself craving meat or dairy, you’ll have the substitutes to turn to.

If you somehow stumble, don’t allow it to serve as an excuse to give up.
Just put yourself right back on track and keep going.

Well, I went vegetarian “cold-vegetable” lol. Then later dropped dairy and eggs the same way. It’s really what you think would be best. I found dropping all meats all at once was awesome! (: Yet, I never did it gradually, so I don’t know which one is easiest. :3 Best of luck!<33
