I usually drink at least one green smoothie a day, and at least three smoothies in general a day.
When I have greens that are about to go bad, I either dehydrate them and grind them into powder to add to smoothies, or freeze them for smoothies (it depends on how much room is in my freezer at the time…)
But for green smoothies, I like to do 1 cup Kale, 1 cup spinach, a handful of parsley, a banana (for texture), a tablespoon of flax seeds, and sprouts if I have any. Ginger if I’m feeling frisky. And I usually put the juice of half a lemon in with it if I know I wont be drinking it all right away.
I don’t try to cover up the taste of the greens with fruit – I really like the taste of the greens on their own lol. I’ma weirdo.

I have them occasionally, usually when I feel I need more iron in my diet, or when I have green veggies that aren’t fresh enough to just eat on their own anymore.

Does anyone drink green smoothies?
For those not in the know, green smoothies are a combination of fruit and leafy greens, along with anything else you want (non-dairy milk, protein powder, etc.). Not only do they make it super easy to get in a ton of vegetables and fruits, but they’re delicious!
