My parents have known for awhile that I am a vegetarian, converting to a vegan, and I try to have them at least cut back on meat by showing them how cruel the animals are treated. How can I persuade them, if possible? I know they do not like me trying to change their eating style, but I don’t like how they’re bringing harmless animals into my house to eat. We’re both at a loss for words on how to have a mutual understanding. I need help!

My dad used to be a big meat-eater but I told him about the health benefits of veg*nism and it made him really think about cutting down. I introduced things like Meat-free Mondays and Fish-Free Fridays and that helped too.

Just try to remind them everytime that the eat meat that a heart was stopped for that burger, or that those chicken nuggets have more than just chicken in them (blood, pus, poop, sometimes even feathers)Also cook for them. Show them that being veg is easy, and it’s more than just fruits and veggies!

    Good Luck!

If you can’t convince them, please try not to push too much.. because you may push them in the other direction. See if you can get them to sit down and watch Earthlings with you. :)

As @paranormalfreak mentioned, cooking for them is also a really super great idea. http://www.peta2.com/recipes/
