I know PETA and many other organizations are trying to get horse carriages banned in NYC but, it is not only in NYC! Last night my mom and I were eating dinner in St Petersburg, Florida and there were 3 carriages lined up waiting for people… The horses looked tired and unhappy and I couldn’t get past it because I know how badly they would rather be running on a farm in Florida. Tonight, I saw them again… This time the horses hooves were painted with glitter. We are having a cold front now, but, even so there are so many other methods of transportation (walking, taxi, bike, car, trolley, Segway) why use a horse?? Does anyone have any suggestions on what we could do to work on getting horse carriages banned here? I’m willing to write letters but I don’t know who to write to!
